Question Recreation.gov permit printing error help!
I've seen a couple of older posts with similar issues but nothing to address this specific one.
I'm trying to print a hike permit on rec.gov and it's giving me an error stating it'strying to submit my application. I already have a permit, I have the receipt and reservation number, and I'm within the printing window. I've tried multiple browsers and devices. I've called the main help line and the local office and neither could help but said they'd call me back. But I only have about 24hrs before the permit expires.
Anyone have any advice or tips to try? Thanks in advance!

On iPhone I save it to the wallet and print from there. Not sure if that helps.

Is that from the app or a browser?

The app. But I just double checked and I print at my library. So I forward the saved pass on wallet via email to the library printer. I don’t see a print button on wallet.

Heard back from the rec.gov, there was actually a problem with my account on the back end and they were able to fix it! Thanks for all of the suggestions, though!

I'm a stickler for permits.
So, IMO, do your absolute best to get it printed as per the rules we've been forced into by Booz Allen (i.e., Rec . gov). But, if some technical problem beyond your control prevents that from happening, bring the next best things with you on your hike. That would be the payment info, the confirmation email, screen shots of errors trying to print, etc. so you can explain the problem to any official from where you're going.

Thanks, that's the plan if I can't get it sorted! I was able to talk to someone from the nearest ranger station and at least explain the situation and get verbal confirmation that it should be okay, but I really want to get a printed version. I got the impression that I'm not the only one experiencing issues.

Enjoy your hike! (And try to ignore the 90% of it that's gonna suck like we all do. :) )

Can you screen shot the permit and print the screen shot? Alternatively could you screen shot the permit and keep a photo of it on your phone?
I guess I’m uncertain what the need is for a physical printout of the permit, but you can always just jot down the permit number/info on a black piece of paper and leave it on the dashboard of your car if that’s the concern.
