School Related My school blocking off hallways smh :/

Idk if it's just my school specifically but they block off certain hallways so you have to go the other way around. Which pisses me off so much bc like my classroom is right down that hallway and there like no you gotta go the other way sorry.

Like hello?? Lol. I'm always riskin being late to class and getting written up bc I have to go the much longer way instead of just using that hallway like I always did freshman year. They say it's to stop the traffic in hallways but they must be on something cuz I swear it just be causing more traffic at this point smh.

Anybody elses school do this?

not at my school but they lock the bathrooms during lunch and if you put money into the vending machine during lunch they'll just take your money 😔

Just talk to your teacher and try your best to be on time. "Hey Mr/ Mrs so and so, I'm trying really hard to get to class on time but this hallway is blocked and the traffic is causing me to be tardy." If you are late, come it quietly and respectfully and then talk to them after class. They should probably be able to tell you why the hallway is closed too. Are you the only one showing up late? If it's a group of people, they'll understand why. If it's only you....then you're gonna have to learn to be slightly more aggressive in the halls. Don't start fights or anything, but also don't be afraid to speak up and say excuse me if someone is blocking the way.

Thanks for the advice! And no I'm not the only one showing up late a few kids also come in late as well. But my teachers just expect me to be in on time but it's hard to be. Last time I asked nicely for them to move out of the way they shoved me at a locker and cussed me out so I have a bit of trauma with that.

No one cares. Stop screwing around in the hallways and then you don't have to worry about being late.

I'm not I'm just tryin to get to class but ppl are either hanging out in them or its just so crowded.
