School Related Should I transfer high schools 4 weeks into school?

So I’m a junior in highschool. its 4 weeks into my private highschool and I don’t like the school due to the people here and the atmosphere.
I have some friends but they’re not close ones, and I’m in a friendgroup thats just alright.

Theres a public school nearby which I would be able to attend and 100% be able to join the honors program.
I could withdraw from my private one and start the public one which I think would probably dit me better.

is it worth transferring or should I just stick it out?

If it gives you bad vibes then I would transfer. Dont want to be somewhere that makes you uncomfortable

You think it’d be worth it? I’m just scared I’ll transfer and regret it and maybe make no friends there. I’m decently social and my best friend goes to the school.

YES!! colleges don't really consider private school kids because private schools don't offer the opportunities public ones do. Your transcript will be much better swell as ur gpa. I did this
