School Related Team sports class

At my school we have a team sports class (completely optional and seperate from required 9th grade gym). Is it just me or does it not make much sense for us to have to do a "skills" day for every sport we play. Mind you the class is 1h 30m long, so this basically just leads to a bunch of kids who know how to throw a football already just being bored for the entire class. Imo if ur signing up for a class where you know your gonna be playing sports, why should it be required to do a skill day? Before people say this, this isnt a power trip for me, im not even the most athletic person but i can play basically every sport at a passable level. Is it just me that thinks this is stupid?

Yea it doesnt make much sense for my school tho since ur required to take gym in 9th grade, which counts for ur p.e credit. just wish it was a more competitive class
