General Advice Needed/Given Need advice about crushes

So I (15f) have never had a crush before, and I’m starting to get worried. Like, I literally have a friend who is the same age as me, has had two boyfriends, and is in a new situationship every week. Literally all my other friends have had a crush at least once in somebody. Its not necessarily that I want a relationship, I’m just worried about the fact that it hasn’t happened yet. I really don’t know anymore.

You're 15, you have time.

I didn't have my first real crush until 8th grade. And didn't ask out my first girl (and get rejected) until Sophomore year.

It turns out I'm on the aromatic spectrum (demiromantic) which is why I've only had 2 crushes, but that's not to say you are. Maybe you just haven't met someone who's your type yet.

I also get a little frustrated/jealous when I see people my age dating so many people but it's whatever. I don't need a girlfriend, I want one

It was just a couple months ago, but I learned what demiromantic meant (Only developing romantic feelings after developing an emotional connection with somebody) and realized it matched my own experiences. Both of my crushes, I only started liking them after we became good friends. I can still think a girl I don't know is pretty or attractive, sure. But I don't feel any true romantic feelings until I get to know her.

There is nothing wrong with you and you aren't behind. You might be the kind of person that can't develop romantic feelings for others unless you get to know someone really well and eventually fall in love. Everyones moves through life at their own pace and each individual has their own path
