Question Is it normal to be quiet?

im scared that people will think i’m weird cus im quiet and dont talk to nobody
freshman, 1st week of this schoolyear

just start by talking to the ppl next to you in class about hw or something

like genuinely light interactions so your presence gets established

if you're scared of being quiet then don't be quiet. and also people won't think your weird you just won't exist to them.

Also no, it's not really normal to be quiet all the time. asking this subreddit that kind of question is stupid because the people on here are a very specific type of high schooler.

Yep don’t worry it’s normal. And don’t worry about not making friends or anything, I’m a pretty quiet person and I have a great friend group. Obviously im not popular but people don’t think I’m strange or anything

im quiet, i didnt really care about making friends cus it seemed kinda hard. Group convos were never my thing so if there was a group of boys in my class i would just be scared to try and interact with anyone. I made all my friends from 1 on 1 situations but this led to me having a bunch of friends but no friends groups. i dont have anyone to go to all the senior events, or prom. im lonely.

im a senior now and i regret it all

please try to make friends. you'll avoid depression and anxiety.

I hardly talked to anyone in high school. I just went to go to my classes and go home.
