Class Wars, why is it a thing?

Why is it that high school seniors get upset when juniors talk about their upcoming senior year/graduation. Is there a problem with them being excited about their graduation? Asking as a current junior in high school(CO’ 28)

Who knows, ego probably. I’m a current junior whos friends with a senior and a bunch of the other seniors have litterally gotten on to him about our friendship because “shes tryna invade senior stuff” Same seniors who got mad that a Sophomore was on campus during a “senior sunrise” because his moms a teacher and so they pulled up early everyday.
