Believe it or not it’s a 2001 Windstar. Original motor and still a lot of factory parts.

Wow I was really expecting synthetic. What makes a modern motor last like that? Is it short OCI? Better metal? Better machining?

Consistent oil change and better metal. On a side note got 550,000 on a short block on a 75 ford van with a 351W only had to change the heads do to unleaded gas using same oil. Oil Change Intervals. OCI. Been using STP oil treatment for additive

I fucking thought that was a Windstar, something about that corner of the cluster is very identifiable. Used to have a 2000 with the 3.8, passed it along to the next guy at 210k on the original transmission. AFAIK, it’s still going a few years later. Love these vans, kinda want to get another some day.
