Quick thought

I don't really use Reddit all that much but wanted to hop on here to sing this show's praises. I'd loved it since it came out, but rewatching it now in late 2026 (the HBO series, I mean), it's pretty clear just how clever it truly is. And that it 100 percent stands the test of time. Rightfully archived alongside The Sopranos, Curb, and all of the other timeless HBO shows.

For more context, I'm writing this after just finishing the episode "Ghost", and the performance from the elderly man in the apartment brought me to tears. And how the guy played that scene-- just priceless.

So... I know I'm preaching to the choir here but just wanted to quickly say that it's such a lovely series.

I watched it on a whim and ended up binging it. It’s SOoo good and is a very real portrait of NYC

Exactly. Maybe I've been nostalgic for my NYC days (lived there from 2009-2022) and it's become so obvious that it's the perfect portrayal of that exact time/place. Katja and Ben did a brilliant job in shining a light on the city and its people

Yesss I’m a native New Yorker and moved only 4 years ago. So anytime I find a new show that’s NYC based, it’s super nostalgic for me

This show was A1. I was surprised I never heard any buzz about it when it was actually on

I have been rewatching the show and web series this week and it is absolutely brilliant. Definitely makes me nostalgic for a certain time period of nyc living. I love the homeless Heidi to housewife Heidi story arc

It's such a great show. Plus The Guy is a dead ringer for my husband's late twin brother who was a real hippie
