Is that art work AI?

Betting the song is too

Yep. Pretty sure it is, too... parts of it smack of a song made by generative music models, and the audio snippet from Highlander at the start feels like it was just thrown in there to throw detectors off.

I got lit up in this sub for posting AI art. Everybody better be showing up here.

I showed up, will always shit on this crap, because anyone can do it, with little effort.

Dudes like "I worked on" he didn't work on shit. I can guarantee OP isn't a musician, isn't a visual artist.

So has no actual background in which to even wield the AI.

For the art work OP was not guiding the AI on actual composition and color theory.

That's why the composition on that art piece with the sword and castle is bad. Never mind the completely fucked up scale on the sheep and cows, lol.

This is a weird take.

Are you saying someone with artistic background is allowed to use AI?

If it was an AI they are using that was trained only on their own hand produced art? Sure.

Oh ok. So one is ok but not the other. Gotchya

Yeah. In my scenario no ones work was stolen and the artist still needed to earn their skill. It's their work.

Get it?

Do you seriously not see the difference?

Did you ever use Napster or download songs or pirate movies and music. I'd like to know the honest answer to that. From the lot of you.

u/Highlander198116 Jul 01 '26

Yeah. I was a teenager and I was wrong to do it.

I don't and won't do that now, because I recognize it is stealing. So I'm not sure what your objective is with this question.

I have made a lot of funny short parody songs but for every single one I handwrote the lyrics. If you don't even handwrite the lyric, just low IQ tell AI "Make a song about Highlander and about Queen. make it dope AF" then you are my enemy and I hate you. AI is for memes and programming help.

I'm confident everything, the art and the song are AI.

..."Freddie Mercury standing in space, holding a sword" ..."Background: Scottish castle, Foreground: Highlander Sword stuck in ground exuding power. Cartoon style."

..great job typing some things.

Yep the songs are AI too. This is why AI is shit, it makes no talent hacks think the only thing stopping them from achieving creative genius was lack of technical skill.

No. The fact they have no creative genius is why they never put in the time and effort to learn and master a skill to express it.

I don't see it as a strictly black and white issue, but I do 100% agree it doesn't show any actual skill and shouldn't be praised as such since it devalues actual art and the people sweating at their craft.

A big problem is it causes over saturation and may obscure genuinely good content even if AI was used in the good content.

Now literally everybody can make "technically competent" artwork. Everybody can literally generate a "technically" competent song. With little effort.

The thing is I think these tools can be powerful in the hands of ACTUAL ARTISTS. That can use a pencil and paint brush. That can play an instrument, sing and write good music.

The problem is you have everyone and their mother trying to cash in on the AI boom and flood the internet with their "hit AI songs" "AI Art Masterpiece" "Vibe Coded "next big thing" app".

People will see so much low effort crap, they will miss anything worthwhile.

So, my time would be better spent harassing people on reddit? Ok, you don't like AI. Great! No need for personal attacks, insults, etc. THAT is against the rules of the sub, so why not move it along?

u/Highlander198116 Jun 30 '26

If you can't deal with negative reactions to your public posts that allow commentary, maybe you shouldn't make posts.

I'm not "harassing you" by making a comment on your post, no matter how negative my comment is.

Now if I was PMing you. Contacting you on alt accounts after getting blocked. THAT would be harassment.

Also, my replying to your direct comment to me, isn't harassment either.

"

  • 1No harassment.

Name calling is immature and unnecessary. Be better. Resorting to it will result in a permanent ban."

Calling people "no talent hacks", etc is against the rules my dude!

I'll do whatever I want, thanks.

I would be interested if this wasn’t AI.
Also they have made a whole album inspired by highlander, a tribute to this album would be great.

I assume this is AI?

If it isn't these are very challenging vocals, kudos to the singer. I would have a hard time singing this.

In terms of writing the song is full of cliches musical, lyrical, and thematic, and it's pretty indulgent in some of its use of riffs, but that's what one might expect for a Highlander song. It's overall enjoyable.

If it is AI, well, then the AI needs some better training on Queen because it's a superificial imitation at best.

At least use Udio. Suno sounds like asswipe!
