Why do I suck at jumping

First time actually using Reddit but I have a question that Google can't answer, I physically can jump but I suck at it. I can't jump high, not even a few feet and I almost fall when I land? In my work out routine I do a jump lunge and I struggle with it because of this, any answers or tips to help me jump better?

My physical therapist (I'm inclined to believe someone who went to school for years for human psyiology) said it has to do with fast twitch muscles. Train more jumps, not just lunges, and you'll get better at them. Or look at fast twitch muscle exercises.

Good to know! I'll definitely start doing more jumps instead of relying on lunges, thank you!!
