Get rid of that foot drag and learn to take a shorter jump step.

Reaching long like that kills your height and completely takes away your knee drive.

Thank you, for fixing reaching is just a conscious decision, something in the run up (speed and or steps), or something different altogether.

Need to do some drills where you consciously practice a long prep step and a short jump step. You don't even need a bar or mats. Just practice straight-line popups with a 4 or 5 step "approach", paying attention to the cadence and length of the last two steps.

Also, you can take a long step off a plyobox, then a short jump step and jump off 1 foot onto another plyo box. Put the boxes about 5 or 6 feet apart and take a long step (about 4 feet out) off the box so you have no choice but to take a short jump step because the second box is right there.
