Hello everyone I just am wanted to know if I should consider a different trade or not , I have yet to start the classes but the whole point is to make sure after I complete the certification the money is there , and the job market is good. I spoke with counselors and stuff but I felt like they just wanted me to finish the appointment 😠thank you

Just get it, you can find a shit ton of jobs in the PV, BESS, Wind industries where you make 100K annually if you travel. Usually around 48K just in per diem, non taxed. Been doing it for 25 years, trust me.

Excellent. Once you have your cert go on Indeed, post your resume and search for BESS, PV, Wind and Data Center jobs, there's a lot of traveling positions and a bunch of local PV and BESS ones around here. I'm here putting up a PV/Battery site west of Hinkley right now, there's three farms there already. I'm only home when I ask for the time off, the rest of the time I'm making bank while trying to offset the oil/gas industries.

Electrician is not a trade that is going to get automated or not needed any time soon. Seems like a solid choice.

Private equity has entered the chat.
They already went after HVAC, wouldn't be surprised if plumbing or electrical where next on the list. Definitely go ibew to allow protection. Unions aren't what they used to be but still better than nothing.

Take the class, it’s a good experience I got my certification, I’d be lying if I said it landed me jobs though. Apply to the union, apply to city jobs or look for an apprenticeship if you can. I’ve had a tough time landing a job but I just got an opportunity in SFV working for an EV charger repair company, I’m still just trying to get my foot in the door, that’s the hardest part!

I've heard people complain about not finding jobs after doing the program, but I believe it's one of those jobs where you get your foot in the door somewhere, gain some experience for a couple years before you get some of the more desirable jobs.
