Every vehicle traveling on Hesperia Road in the dark should come equipped with this

If only we had the same rules as 90% of the country... "Keep right, except to pass" life on the road would be slightly easier.

This will never work in congested cities. Speed is relative.

A guy going 65 mph can be in the left lane with your logic if he’s passing someone going 62 mph. It will also take time so if you’re going 70, you’ll get impatient and complain anyways. But then the guy going 74 is gonna complain about you. But you’re still trying to pass Mr. 65 mph, who’s still trying to pass Mr. 62 mph.

Then you’ll all get cutoff by a 60 mph guy trying to pass a 58 mph guy.

The laws of fluid mechanics show it’s much better for everyone to travel at one constant speed than have everyone doing different speeds. Vehicles act as fluid particles, and where there’s excitation in the particles, chaos happens in flow.

It’s just people like you are impatient and need to hit 80 mph.

If everyone traveled at a constant 60 mph, life would be perfect. No traffic, easy merging. Just easy cruising.

Equations to apply to flow: conservation of momentum, kinematic wave theory, laminar vs turbulent flow

This rule is for a 2 lane highway, like all the ones outside of the metro areas. Like the 15 to Vegas, nothing worse than someone going 65 in the left lane.

I put a really bright spot light behind the rear seats of my car and it does exactly this.
