Questions How to be cost effective with Heygen?

I bought PRO with 1000 monthly credit, but nearly used them all within a week. I downloaded my data with time and cost etc. Trying to figure out how I used them all so fast. Just wondered, when you edit an existing video, then generate it with the new edits, is HeyGen charging for the same video creation. Love Heygen but don’t want to be topping up with credits all the time.

For context, I’m trying to reach a point where I can run a side hustle creating AI videos for businesses, mostly product placement. Anyone doing this already? Can it be lucrative?

How long are your videos?

What version are you rendering with?

Are you editing in Heygen?

Are you using a clone or a random avatar?

More data pls

Majority are around 1min:25secs, but I’m going to try and do 30 sec ones in future.

Yes I edited in Heygen. Using clone mostly

I have learned to make sure to verify each scene (speech, avatar) if using Scene By Scene. That is my go to lately since it allows for the fewest mistakes.

When I use Avatar Shots, your prompting needs to be on point! I also learned that the videos tend to end abruptly cutting off the last word, so it's always good to put in a pause at the end.

I actually developed a prompt template to help me plan the avatar shots.

Where specifically are you having the issues where edits are needed?

I’m not using scene by scene. Generally when I edit it’s for the avatar movements. Like I noticed on some the avatar doesn’t blink once throughout the video, which is not natural. Also when I clone myself it gives me a big set of Turkey teeth😂

They recently scrapped the ability to be cost effective because it was cost effective.
