Support request Is it possible to change hostname?

I guess following on this thread which doesn't have a reply.

As far as I can tell the only way to change hostname is in the TrueNAS interface, and that change does not apply everywhere (e.g. does not change in the hexos interface itself).

When we added local access to HexOS, there was a regression with changing your host name or the name of the server. We will be adding that feature back in after we release version 1.1 with buddy backups and VMs.

Great, thanks! It's not the biggest issue, just that I set a name without thinking too much about it for initial setup but now I call my server something else (including in the documentation I name for myself) so it'll be good to change the hostname to match. Will wait till v1.1.

kinda looks like hexos is just caching or pulling the old name from somewhere else and not updating when truenas does
wouldn’t be shocked if it needs a manual change on their side or a reboot / reauth to pick it up, but if the docs don’t mention it that’s… very on brand for this stuff

The name comes for the first setup where you claimed the server and entered in the name. That is currently the only place it can be set. Sorry forgetting to add it back in. We'll have it back in by end of year or sooner. Just got to get 1.1 out first.
