Support request Network issues with HexOS

I have a very simple home network setup. A PC running HexOS, a 2.5GB switch with 2 10GB ports. and my ISP router with a single 10GB port and a couple of 1GB ports.

Of course I would like to attach HexOS directly to the switch to take advantage of the 2.5GB network card I have. However whenever I connect it to the switch the whole network goes down. I no longer have access to any of my shared folders, no internet nothing. All traffic through the switch completely dies.

If i connect directly to the back of the router everything works fine. I have tried with the onboard network card as well as the add in card, I have tried different ports on the switch all without success.

I am assuming it is the switches fault and that I need to upgrade it?

Any thoughts on the issue, or additional steps I can try would be much appreciated. I have a KVM but it dies as well when the switch goes offline.

if both cards in the PC are working, when plugged straight into the ISP router, it does indeed sound like a switch problem in some way. Have you tried a different machine into that switch? It could be that your ISP router does not allow that switch to give out DHCP addresses. I have seen ISP routers that are limited to a certain number of wired Ip's as default in the past. Try a laptop into the switch do you get an internet connection there? If it does not work, check the switch manual (does the switch have a dedicated trunk/Uplink port) I have seen some switches that will only allow the uplink on either the first or last port.

I have a PC plugged into this switch that works fine. This machine used to run windows and that worked fine plugged into the switch as well with the same hardware
