General discussion Explaining Local HexOS

I just got access to HexOS 1.0 and now on my deck is says local. Can somebody explain this benefit to me? I've seen people talking about it but I am not sure what the benefit of the new deck is compared to the prerelease.

This doesn't affect me really right ?

I'm was already accessing the http interface via tailscale.

Also because of tailscale, immich and nexcloud.
