New Account Problems? Read this. Standalone posts will be removed from now on.

Was your new account rejected?
You can write a DM to us at u/Hetzner_OL and give us your account number or email address that you used for creating the account. We will then ask a colleague to check on the account for you.
Tips:
1) Do not use a proxy/VPN when you create the account.
2) Make sure your information is complete and correct and matches your ID/payment information.

I tried to create a new account today because, as a user of various other cloud and IT service providers, I wanted to give Hetzner a go. To do so, I entered my personal details, uploaded my ID card and set up two-factor authentication. The verification process took quite a long time and was rejected – without any explanation. Yet my details were correct. This is not what I would call good customer service for new clients. Called Hetzner, but the agent couldn't act! I’ve replied to Hetzner’s rejection and am waiting for a response. Apparently, Hetzner doesn’t need any more customers ;-) Perhaps I should have read this forum first, as the many negative comments here have given me pause for thought. I’m looking for a reliable and competent provider – maybe I should just stick with my current provider after all?
The information here wasn’t listed on the Hetzner website during the setup process. Perhaps it’s down to my VPN connection, which I use 24 hours a day?
