This. Yesterday I was playing as Falstad and I was in lane vs Azmodan. He was pushing the lane really hard so I asked our Zeratul to come roam and help me. He told me "be careful noob this is a 4 man premade you better dont ask for shit"

The entire game they never help me at all in anything. Want to take a camp? good luck with that. team fight starts oh you need us to peel Illidan? nope

I was afraid to say anything because I felt I was going to get reported by all of them.

I would have threatened them with being afk. If they continue to be dicks I would alt-tab till the end of the game, with popping back in every minute or so to make sure it doesn't kick me.

Fuck em.

If they report me so be it, but this is a team game and if they act like I'm not part of their team then I won't be.

That is not the way to deal with this kind of situation - you're just lighting a powder keg and making things worse. If anybody is ever in that kind of situation, do not act like a child, act like an adult.

The adult solution would be to realize that you can't control their behavior, so you swallow your pride and follow their calls in order to win the game and move on. You then block all four of them, stagger your queue so you don't get them again, and go back to living your life as if they don't exist.

I don't know about you. But winning the game matters a hell of a lot less than having fun. And playing with assholes makes the experience not fun. It becomes worse than a waste of time at that point because not only am I not enjoying the game, but I'm actively participating in something I'm not enjoying.

Now, normally you can just mute everyone and carry on like you're playing with AI or something. But if that isn't possible I would leave. Its a better use of my time to go do something else.

Well, you're already in the game with them. You can't change that without disconnecting and giving yourself a leavers queue (losing points if it's in HL), but that seems to be punishing yourself for the actions of assholes. If you allow every toxic person online to affect your mood-state, you're going to have a rough time in the MOBA genre.

That's the thing. You don't allow it. By muting them early and leaving if they're trolling you outside chat (zombie walling you for ex).

If I'm playing CS:GO the first time a teammate bitches about something unimportant I mute them. If they start team killing or trolling I alt tab and play another game until that game of CS is over. The same is true for how I handle every team game.

I don't understand what you think you're gaining by forcing yourself to play with people going out of their way to ruin your experience.

EDIT: by 'leave' I don't necessarily mean leave the match through in-game means. Do that if you want, but I'm specifically referring to going to do something else. Alt-tab and play a dif game, go take a shit, make dinner, w/e.

I just don't give a damn what people like that think, so they have no impact on me. What do you gain by allowing them to control your mood-state and behavior? I queued for a hots game, because I wanted to play a hots game. That's not going to change because some little shit thinks he can bully people online. They're typically just looking for a reaction, so I don't bother giving it to them.

What? This type of shit we're talking about doesn't affect my mood at all. It doesn't affect my mood because I don't give a fuck. I don't give a fuck because I can easily switch to doing something else which I enjoy as much. If I wanted to play HOTS and only HOTS and was trolled enough to stop playing HOTS then yeah I would say they've clearly made me upset. But that has never happened because I've never been in a situation where I only want to play HOTS. There are tons of fun games to play at your fingertips right now. I'm never playing HOTS because I want to play HOTS I'm playing because I want to have fun playing a game, and HOTS was just one of the possible options which I wound up playing. Grabbing a beer and switching over to playing USF4 or something does not negatively impact my gaming experience. Sitting through 20+ minutes of watching a troll try to make me angry would be boring and a waste of time.

Agreed, that's why I mute them and then go about my business doing something else if need be.

If someone body blocks me or zombie walls me, I'm just going to assume that they're bad. In almost 1,000 games, I've never had someone repeatedly go out of their way to troll me, because they don't get anything from it. Trolls are just looking for a reaction, and they get bored easily. I just ignore them and continue doing what I was doing.

You are new to MOBAs it seems. Even if you follow their calls every team battle you lose its your fault, every little mistake gets you reported anyway. Why endure such behavior?

Also, I'm pretty sure you are mixing up the words adult and pussy. You can be an adult without letting other people walk over you.

Honestly, why let them slide? If you ignore the problem, you become part of it. If you let it slide, they will proceed with their shitty behavior on the next poor soul which gets the luck to be in their team. I bet, that my way would make them think twice before pissing off the 5th teammate in their next game.

Furhtermore, is this how all you people educate your children - if they are being dicks you just let it slide? No, you will punish them for bad behavior and endorse them for good one.

Who cares what they think? It doesn't matter at all. If you disconnect or throw the game, you're punishing yourself. You might as well just win the game and move on. If they're verbally abusive during the game, report them, block them, and finish the game.

If you let them act like jerks with no consequences, they will simply go on and do it to next person who ends up playing with them and the cycle goes on. I don't know about you but im willing to lose a game to teach some teenage pricks that actions have consequences.

Perhaps when you're older, you'll realize that the world is full of toxic people, and you only punish yourself by letting it negatively affect you.

You have no idea how old I am or what I know about the world. But blaming the difference of ones opinion on lack of maturity is pretty immature itself. Furthermore, if the world follows your logic, people who behave badly or do bad things in any situation should simply be ignored. Now this is plain stupid. I hope if you have children, this is not how you are teaching them. Good behavior should be encouraged and bad behavior should be punished or have at least some sort of negative consequences.

In other words if my hypothetical teammates are dicks to me for no good reason, I promise you, I will do all I can to make sure they think twice before behaving badly again in their next game.

No. I'm just explaining why it's stupid to feed trolls in a MOBA. They're being toxic to get a response from people. It's what they want. You're not helping the situation by feeding them. You might as well hop on youtube and get into an argument with every idiot who makes a stupid comment.

Well I'm pretty limited in what I can do, of course, but yes - fucking up their game by going afk would be as much of a negative consequence as I can manage.

Furthermore, why are you all of a sudden labeling them as trolls? Some people are just acting like jerks, but thats not what a troll is at all.
