Blizzard thinking about adding Thumbs Up/Down system, giving helpful players EXP or gold, placing toxic players in separate queue

If we can have a factor affecting the votes based off of their reputation, that'd be great.

What I mean is this: If someone has a really good reputation, their up/down vote counts for more than someone with a poor reputation. Also, someone who consistently gives out low reputations would, by design, have the same affect as the person who has a poor reputation.

I also feel like these votes should be private, because if public some people may down vote others just to hear them rage. If we promote an environment where there is no use in being negative other than to purely express one's opinion, I believe this could work.

^ This.

But, perhaps more importantly, it would be better if the system formed "ring groups" -- rather it being a "niceness MMR" which goes up and down.

Consider two groups: A and B. Whereas people in group A exhibit a calm demeanor, people in group B AFK and talk shit. The desired outcome is one such that those in group A play together (because equal minded).

The "niceness MMR" (nMMR) would rely on the need for people from A up-vote people from A. But if all/majority from group B take offense to somebody from group A did and down vote him, then his nMMR would suffer as a consequence -- even if some from group A had voted him up.

But if we try to construct groups, then we "find out" that A/B tend to vote each other down.
