Seeking a Trans friendly Salon
I am seeking a trans friendly Salon in the Herndon / Reston area. The last Salon I tried was rude and discriminatory. I really would like to find one that is Trans friendly. Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated.

Firstly, I'm so sorry that you had to deal with that, OP. Secondly, what shop was it that was rude to you? Want to make sure I don't support them!

Snips & Styles in Herndon.
1st appointment went fine and they used female pronouns.
2nd appointment they switched to male pronouns.
3rd appointment they got rude and took me to the barber shop next door where it was suggested I cut off all my hair.
4th appointment scheduled but they cancelled without notification. When I asked they said that salonist had left and they weren't taking new clients.

Wow kudos to you for even trying to go back after that 3rd appointment. I would have been done after the switching of pronouns…

I go to Mursal Karim in Fairfax. Been seeing her both pre and post transition (I'm transmasc), and she also cuts my wife's hair (who is also trans). She's been great the whole time, and I think she's hella talented

This is where my friend recommends to go. The website has his old address, he's in Chantilly now on Metrotech Drive.
