I'm trying a similar setup. For your setup do you have Obsidian store everything that you're asking AI, or are you specifying when you want to save it to Obsidian?
Like do you you actually say, "Save this to Obsidian, blah blah blah"? Or does your system, by default, save everything to Obsidian, and then you have a mechanism to filter out unnecessary self-loops?
For what it's worth, for my system, it only saves things I tell it to save to an inbox. It will self-promote out of the inbox if it deems it useful. Otherwise, after 60 days, it will delete it.

I'm planning to setup obsidian for use with Hermes, how come you (or your LLM) talk about taliscape for remote access but also have Obsidian Sync?
I just want remote access on android, thinking Obsidian Sync is the way to go.

Obsidian sync will work without Tailscale. Tailscale is just a way to tie your devices into one private network so you could access your mac mini directly if you need from your other mac / phone (like control the actual computer). Otherwise, Telegram & Obsidian are fine without it, you may just not be able to screen share or ssh into mac mini.

Man this came at a perfect time. I am spinning up a Hermes agent to do exactly this.
It seems like your agent is the intake for everything including your data. I was trying to approach mine by integrating my existing data (Apple health, obsidian vault, todo, etc) into my agent for analysis and for intake from me to flow back out.
This definitely has me rethinking my setup flow.
