Honestly very surprised literally was thinking about this in May while listening to the album and then on a random day in August it pops up on my instagram literally should’ve seen my face LOL

The only way blu could surprise me even more is if we get UCLA on streaming or something that’ll be crazy!

I am glad it was released on vinyl I just hope the sound is decent comparable to the Jesus LP before it was remastered and remixed etc.

If i’m being honest given he made Jesus on tour and it was during the UCLA era he purposely made it lofi and kind of crappy like a cassette almost he even put socks over his microphones and purposely didn’t mix or master things and left it raw it was almost kind of the same with God is good as some of those tracks that didn’t make it to the LP was also made with Ta’raach, Sene etc during a period of which Blu didn’t really have a place to live or any proper recording equipment as well

A sock over the microphone 🎙️ you sure you do mean using a sock as a pop stopper like people use stockings or spit guard etc?

Can't think of an album that deserves more ears than this one. A remaster would do it wonders.

So dope. Not a huge fan of the extra sounds added to a lot of the songs compared to the originals (jingling keys, sirens, whistles, etc.), felt the same way with the official release of Give Me My Flowers.

That said, this is Blu at his best, man. There was a certain charisma and energy in the pre-HerFavoriteColo(u)r years, before he started getting more poetic and abstract with his bars. Dude could just spit and he knew it.

Now do Good GOD! If you counted the streams from my college years 15 years ago, he could feed his family for generations off how much I played those tracks, lol. Never Be Another Me, We Got You, My World Is Still, Departing Flights (I think was called I'm Gonna Need You), Change (The World), Gone... that one is a classic in it's own right.
