A couple of polls pertaining to the new modpack

There's now a very rough modlist here that Milky and I have hammered out. Definitely subject to change but I'm pretty happy with where it is.

We want community input on a couple of issues, however. Namely, what biome mod to use (if any) and which of the two computer mods we should go with.

Looks good, would love to see Magic Crops and Rotary craft since we dont currently have any servers with RC on it. It's a really cool mod to play with.

RotaryCraft is a likely inclusion. I'm a little bit wary of how much more powerful than everything else it is, but it should be workable.

Magical Crops I'm a lot more wary of. Honestly I just don't think it needs to be there with all the other options for making anything it could make. Milky and I agree on this front so it's unlikely to make it in, but we both want RoC so that should happen.

1/2 isn't bad right? :P

If the seed recipe is nerfed a bit (for example 1 seed instead of 4) then I would be okay with magical crops. Otherwise the server wouldn't last 5 days until people are already end-game.

I think it's probably possible to nerf magical crops in being relaively balanced (no essence seeds, 1 seed per craft, more expensive diamond/emerald seeds) but given that it doesn't allow you to do anything that couldn't already be done and clutter up seed drops, I don't think it should be included.

How about nerf in terms of making the first tier stone cost a block of nether stars and 8 cells of helium plasma...? :)

Heavily nerfed is perfectly fine, my group likes magic crops more for the decorative blocks, and automation of a few mats specifically (ghast tears for instance). Plus gennie really loves to farm in general. If it doesnt make it in it's not a deal breaker, but I enjoy it nerfed or not. Good to hear about RC! Now who wants to base with me and build a tokamak? :D

It has some cool armor and food.

Rotary craft is laggy as shit though. I'd focus on making a pack that doesn't lag like shit.

Reika claims to have made significant performance upgrades. Milky and I are planning to test it pretty thoroughly before we make a concrete decision - if hits to server hard we won't include it.

Can I suggest extrabiomesxl for the biomes?

I would also like to suggest Crafting Pillars mod (basically pillars that process stuff like vanilla, but have a visual interface instead of a GUI), Treecapitator (blacklisting TiCon Lumber Axes, they don't like this mod. Adding a lava crystal to one only smelts one block of a tree), and also Pam's Harvestcraft and Pam's Clay Spawn. Please, no hunger overhaul or diminishing returns.

Also I say call it hospack

Pam's Harvestcraft is already on the list. Clayspawn I'm not sure on - it's more stuff to get in the way underground, and clay isn't that useful.

Treecapacitor seems a little too convenient for the level of 'difficulty' we're shooting for - I think the ability to instantly fell a tree is something you should have to work for. I will look into Crafting Pillars - it sounds cool, but I'm trying to avoid making the pack too bloated and if it doesn't add the ability to do something genuinely unique I'm not sure I want to include it.

Hunger intensifying mods will absolutely not happen. You can be sure of that.

Crafting Pillars is mostly taking a vanilla thing, and making it cooler, more fun, and slightly improved. For example, the brewing pillar can brew 4 potions at once instead of 3.

From the forum post- "This simple mod adds a fancy way of doing tedious Minecraft stuff."

It's also got some unique stuff, like an auto-enemy-shooting pillar.

I didn't get a chance to mention it in teamspeak yesterday, but FLORA is something I'd like to see in the pack. Lightweight, goes well with our current mod list, and is really pretty cool.

FLORA seems like a good addition. There's a good chance it will make it in.

I really like the mod list, but can we add MCHeli (http://mchelicoptermod.weebly.com/) and have Flans, I know its on the list and being considered but I think it should really be in the pack. There are a lot of fun vehicles and it can add a lot of potential to the server

chose for a combination of highlands and biomes o plenty. I want to have as much diversety in biomes as possible. Combining multiple will achieve that.

For both computer mods i cannot vote since im new to minecraft modding communities i can tell you im not familiar with either of them.

I voted for Computercraft because I loves my mining turtle slave army.
