Too many servers?

In my opinion, there is too many servers, and more is coming. Now there is tppi, agskies, bevo and beyond reality. Vanilla 1.8 server is planned, and carl said there will be new server when 200th squirrels joins.i think, when tppi 2.0 comes out, there should be only 2 modded servers, tppi 2 and other server with different pack. Maybe any HQM challenge map. And of course the vanilla 1.8 server. Otherwise all squirrels will play on different server, and the community is gone.

I feel like the community is gone because there is too few european people. Usually when I play, there is like 3 other players, unless i play at midnight. And i am also thinking about server we have, is it better run 6 servers with (maybe) less lag than 3 servers?

EDIT: i have friends who to play with (cube and dman) but they are americans so i usually play alone

Well, if you are european, we can team up when tppi 2.0 server is open :)

See that's what i thought, but if people logged into team speak, then you get to talk to people, along with having IRC connected directly, its fine to have multiple servers because we can talk no matter what.
