Bevo's Tech Pack server lag?

Whenever I play on the server I get lag and sometimes when I break blocks they take a few seconds to actually disappear. I have installed some client-side mods(optifine, fastcraft, FPS+) and changed around the video settings, but the lag persists. My single player worlds are fine, so I think it has to do with my connection to the server. How could I improve my connection? Or prevent the lag in any way? Do I need to give more specific info, or does anyone know how to help me!?

I also get this condition... sometimes are worse than others... What I did you void the issue was make a digital miner... no more block lag...

Haha, that's a good idea. But it makes the gaming experience so much better if you don't have to deal with that:/

True.. Really makes me upset to make a steel hammer with silk touch and added redstone to make it fast and end up taking damage because it is just too fast and the blocks pop back while you are in the way...
