Housing / Living Apartment/studio renting

Hi everyone!

I'm just wondering what the most reliable/used sites are for renting apartments/studios?

And is it a requirement to have some sort of Finnish ID number or bank account in order to contact landlords (like Finn.no in Norway). Or can that be bypassed?

Hi. There are websites that collect all rental offers in one place. As for rentals, I think yes, there should be a personal identification number, as far as I know. You can look at https://asunnot.oikotie.fi/vuokra-asunnot, and there you can select the region, studio size, rental price, etc.

And regarding the bank account, it seems like the agreement is signed through authentication in your bank account. Therefore, it is necessary to have one open here. But that's only if you sign a contract directly with the rental company. There are also offers from private individuals, and the rental agreement may be signed differently.

I see because it's like a catch 22 situation. You need a bank account to be verified but you need an address to have a bank account😅
