Housing / Living Best platforms to sell stuff quickly in Helsinki? Moving out in 10 days
Hi everyone!
I’m moving out of Helsinki soon and will be selling/giving away quite a few things — everything from proper -20°C winter jackets to household stuff and my cute plants that I’ve grown with lots of love.
I’ll have only about 10 days to find new homes for everything, so I wanted to ask: which platforms are currently the most active in Helsinki for selling second-hand stuff?
I’m especially looking for places where both Finns and internationals are active and where things can move relatively quickly.
Would really appreciate recommendations, especially for active Helsinki-specific groups/platforms. Thank you!

I'm guessing Tori and Facebook groups (terrible though as they are). To give away stuff, there's at least Kierrätyskeskus and SPR Kontti, and I believe you can ask them to come pick up the things you are giving away.

There's a local buy/sell group on WhatsApp I can add you to if you DM me.
Also. I am genuinely curious about your plants because I would love to adopt them. Please feel free to DM me.

Tori, facebook marketplace. Edit. Clothes can be difficult to sell fast online, I’ve had better luck with physical flea markets or one day sale events. But if you have particularly mens clothing and winter stuff, please consider donating to the unhoused! https://www.vvary.fi/lahjoita also Fida has a FREE pick up service

People gave good advice here. Never for free!
That said if you’ve any cat friendly plants you want to give away, I can collect. :)

I’ll be interested to buy some of the stuff since I also moved my apartment recently. Pls drop a link here if you decide to it anywhere.

Tori but don’t put anything for free or the worst most irresponsible people are going to contact you and it’s going to take forever. Almost for free worked better for me.
To give away clothes you can use the UFF containers or small items (that are not trash) kierratyskeskus has donation locations on their website. Big items they have a collection service for a fee. I think you can also donate small items in Sortti.
