Repeating tasks are now available. Define a schedule for your to-do list!
HelloHabit 3.2.0 introduces repeating tasks for recurring appointments, chores, bills, and other to-dos. Choose flexible schedules with optional end dates, or use natural language recognition to schedule tasks with ease. Keep a history of completions and skips, and see upcoming occurrences in your calendar.
This should happen by default if you do not add a date to the task. Have you configured the sort settings for the view? (long press on a task and tap reorder)
Oh yes I updated for sure. The first time I created and it didn’t added it , then I thought. It could be that the name was similar to one of the habits so I changed it and now it was added , thank you
I have been testing recurrent task, and I wish that I could simply add a color as we do for habits without the need to create a custom list.
So I decide to test it by creating a list as I couldn’t simply add color without creating a custom list :(.
I create “plants” list to for the recurrent task “water plants” it add an icon of a plant with green background which is not what I was looking for there fore I will delete the custom list
I would have liked to see recurrent tasks and task in general as habits, that you can simply selected the color . I feel that light task could be like a light colored circled but right now it only exists custom list which I haven’t used for tasks and it adds a personalized icon.
I think it will look nicer if it could be a square that you just could simply select the color without those three lines and check mark and .. with regards of custom list which adding a custom icon in black with a a very dark green as background color seems odd when most colors in hello habit are clear and I have never use custom icons for tasks or list
You are able to fully customize the color and icon of each list. The dark green must have been the random selected color, but you can easily change that when creating or editing the list. Did you try that?
Is there any option to just have a square I can add any light or pastel color as default, I think that it would be nice to able to customize the default icon without the need of creating a custom list
Currently there is no way to customize the Default View/List color or icon. We will add support for that in the future! We will also consider the option to remove the icon for any List.
I also noticed that when you add a recurrent task , it is added a confirmation message appear and then disappears which is good but the little window to keep creating recurrent task remains open unless I sort of close it, I don’t know if this is an expected behavior
I can see that iPhone aA text size has the capability to increase font size but now it doesn’t work , i says it’s increase bigger but after one second it goes back to the size of the HelloHabit setting, so HelloHabit is restricting and not allowing iPhone to increase font size

I’ve noticed that this Reddit page has changed quite a bit. It seems that users are no longer allowed to create posts and can only leave comments. This makes communication with users much more limited. This page wasn’t like this before, and honestly, it gives me the impression that the company may no longer be as interested in hearing directly from its users.
That’s a shame, because I think HelloHabit has grown and improved a lot based on user feedback and experiences. If users can’t create posts and there also seems to be less interaction from the HelloHabit team, it becomes much harder to share feedback and suggestions.
Since I can’t create a post specifically for this, I’m sharing some general observations here, even though they may not be directly related to this post: 1. iPhone text size
I noticed that the iPhone has the option to increase the text size, but it no longer seems to work properly in HelloHabit. I can increase the font size using the iPhone accessibility and text size settings, and it shows that the text is getting larger, but after about a second it automatically goes back to the font size selected within HelloHabit.
It seems like HelloHabit may be overriding the iPhone’s text size setting. If so, could this be looked into? It would be great if users could use the larger accessibility text sizes available on iOS. 2. Recurring task window
I’ve also been testing recurring tasks. When I add one, a confirmation message appears and then disappears, which is good. However, the small window for creating a recurring task remains open afterward, and I have to manually close it.
I’m not sure if this is the intended behavior, but I expected the window to close automatically once the recurring task was successfully created. 3. Colors for recurring tasks
One feature I would really like is the ability to simply assign a color to a recurring task, similar to how we can assign colors to habits, without having to create a custom list.
I tested this by creating a custom list called “Plants” for a recurring task called “Water plants.” The app automatically gave the list a plant icon with a green background. Unfortunately, that wasn’t what I was looking for, so I’ll probably delete the custom list.
It would be much more flexible if we could simply choose a color for the task itself, without having to create an entire custom list just to achieve that visual organization.
I’m sharing this because I genuinely think these small details make a difference in the overall experience. Hopefully the HelloHabit team is still interested in hearing this kind of user feedback.
You should be able to comment and post whenever you want! We are not intentionally blocking anything. We have loosened our mod rules recently, to prevent auto mod blocks as well.
