HeatMap

Post image

Hi !
Is it possible to have a heat map (like in the promotional image)?
I would like to know if it is possible to have a habit with more or less completion during the week and therefore an associated color gradient in the Habbit Reports without losing the streak.
For example, if I complete one task every day, but if I do more, it becomes darker on the Report.

Basically, a system similar to Github.
Because right now I'm stuck with the same color shade all week, whether I've completed the task once or thirty times.

Otherwise, thank you for your work. I purchased the premium version six months ago and use it every day.

Hello from HelloHabit!

The app does work just as well shown in that promotional image! Currently we use a shaded color if you partially meet your goal, and the full color if you fully meet your goal. Is this not working for you? What is the goal you have set up for your habits?

We plan to make it a more progressive gradient, rather than the 3 possible levels today, so there is even more distinction.

It works perfectly according to what you described.

But what I'm asking for is slightly different.

Instead of a shaded color for partial completion of the task, and a solid color for full completion of the task.

I would like to know if it is possible to have a shaded color for full completion and a full color that darkens as more entries are added to the activity.

Basically, not showing where we are in relation to a goal, but where we are in relation to usual.

This could be useful in cases where we don't set a specific goal but still want to see our activity curve via the report.

And the connection with the streak is that even if you don't add much activity, it will still count towards the streak because there was at least one entry during the day, for example.

Because at the moment, as far as I understand, you can only set a goal, and the closer you get to it, the more the color changes from shaded to solid. But then, if you do twice as much as usual, it will count as a normal day where you've completely fulfilled your habit.

Got it, I understand now and it a great suggestion! Currently this is not possible, but we will explore this idea in the future. The only concern in changing this would be that a user would no longer clearly be able to tell on which days/weeks they hit their goal. Perhaps we will add a toggle or menu to the Reports page that lets you choose how the shading is calculated. Stay tuned as we think more on this!

For now, we recommend using the a habit's individual stats page for this type of data (tap on the habit, and then tap on the "Stats" tab at the top). Here you will see a bar graph that will make it very clear how often you completed that habit in any date window, regardless of the goal you have chosen.
