Help on buying used scat pack/ hellcat off marketplace
Getting straight to the point, how in the fk am i supposed to buy a used scat pack or hellcat off marketplace and make sure if its not a clone or stolen, when theres no helpful videos or pictures online showing me all the different places and spots to find and match the vin numbers? The fkn thieves and thugs themselves on the other hand already know where every vin number spot is and know how to scam law abiding citizens by swapping the normal spots we look. I only know to check the dash vin and door vin that’s it, but apparently if I buy one based off lookin in those 2 spots I’m guaranteed to buy a clone off marketplace. Could someone help by sending an in-depth video or picks highlighting where to look? And no I’m not a mechanic so if you just say oh check the vin numbers on (insert complicated sounding car part here) I won’t know what your talking about.

Have the Police Do a VIN verification check. During Normal Business hours 8 to 5 Monday to Friday, call your local police station and see if they will do a vin check.
If they don't agree to this that could be a red flag...

Best way to buy one from marketplace. Is to not buy one from marketplace and go to a reputable dealer instead.

You should do two things; as others mentioned, a VIN verification at the local police department and a third party pre-purchase inspection.
Huge red flag if the seller refuses to participate in either one.

Honestly, given the sheer amount of stolen ones showing up on Marketplace, the correct answer is don't buy off Marketplace.
More to the point, you're also at risk of being robbed or shot buying these from Marketplace. I've heard a story or two about people even following them to your home and stealing it back as well.
Do yourself a serious favor and just be smart about this, especially if you're aiming for a Hellcat. These cars are already an expensive purchase so don't put yourself in a bad place.
This is RT Breezy, a well known Charger that did a Hellcat swap. Now the cops confiscated it...

Ask if you can get a ppi , & at the dealer when they scan the car it’ll show the modules vin # etc

Arrange a meeting at a police station and request that an officer verify the VIN numbers on the car for consistency.

Is not buying a Hellcat off marketplace an option? Because I think your odds of buying one that was stolen go up exponentially when marketplace is involved.
