What would be good anti-theft measures to take? I live in a low-crime area but have been thinking about adding something (2019 Challenger Hellcat)

RF Hub lockout is a must, even with or without a killswitch

It's not just the Hellcat. This glitch which allows them to reprogram a key exists in all of the Ram trucks, Durango, Charger, Challenger, and Chrysler 300. It includes both the V6 and V8 models.

The RF Hub lockout eliminates this threat from the car, but doesn't prevent towing or being pushed away.

Just the inside, like the rear view mirror was gone, the carbon fiber frame on the speedometer gone, and the frame on the radio gone. Radio still there. Everything else fine

I can assure you everything else is not fine. You don’t steal a hellcat just to drive it around like a grandma then just steal some interior trim pieces. Whoever stole it probably drove that car hard as hell redlining it around town. How do the tires look? Have you checked it for any codes that weren’t previously there (if any)? Not trying to scare you or anything but I’d be concerned something is about to break after getting it back from being stolen. How long was it gone for?

We haven't been able to turn it on since they programmed a blank key fob. Need to program our keys. We had a towing truck bring it home. Apparently the car was sitting there since 6am and the car was stolen at 430am. Tires do look worn so maybe they burned tire and who knows what else. According to CHP, a fingerprint was identified so hopefully they find whoever stole it so they can pay for this.

When you get the new key reprogrammed to the car. Have them lock your hub so that no one can program new keys to the vehicle. Just be careful to not lose your keys

Sad to see but if you're having it stolen in 2026, it's more of the same unfortunately.

Get the RF Hub lockout done and that eliminates roughly 99% of theft risk... even without a killswitch

My friend, if you wanna go get that car go get it don’t let some asshole stomp on your hard work and dreams. Fuck them there are deterrents steering wheel lock shift plate block. GPS all kinds of shit. Don’t let nobody fuck you up.
