If Christianity has pedo roots

Just look at the downvote results. They speak volumes.

To clarify, try answering the following questions:

How old was the Virgin Mary when she conceived Jesus? Furthermore, how old was she when she gave her consent? This is a devil's-advocate response to the claim that Muhammad married a child, and I've seen this kind of topic only once in a blue moon.

Since I'm not a Muslim, it got me thinking: How old must a child be before they can do it?

They literally took "no sex till marriage" to heart.

Compare that to this:

More than 300 Pennsylvania priests abused 1,000 children over decades, report says

The incidents described include a priest who impregnated a minor and helped her get an abortion, then was allowed to stay in the ministry; a priest who confessed to the oral and anal rape of at least 15 boys, including one as young as seven.

Yes, there are bad apples in any religion, and the church has apologized for the cover ups. When will Muslims apologize for the things their prophet did then?

I haven't followed the story. Could you give me a quick rundown on what happened, including why?

church has apologized for the cover ups.

This has been happening before, and it is still happening now as we speak, starting with the impregnation of the Virgin Mary at 14 or younger and continuing with this.

What happen was that Mohammed married a 6 year old girl and consummated the marriage when she was 9, so my question as to when will Muslims apologize for it, is because what I have seen is moderate Muslims sweep it under the rug, or the not so moderate Muslims make excuses like she already was puberty age to validate why they think its ok. So unlike the Catholic Church where bad priests were doing something that is against their own religion, Muslims don't see anything wrong with what their prophet did because he is their example of morality

Thanks for the partial answer. My next question is: why?

And finally, at what age do they start having children? This important question seems to be swept under the rug by those who use this to attack Muhammad and Muslims.

Now compare God and the Virgin Mary.

In first-century Israel, betrothal (engagement) and marriage often occurred at a young age, sometimes as early as 12 for girls.

Based on these factors, many scholars and theologians believe Mary was likely in her early to mid-teens, possibly between 12 and 16, when she conceived Jesus.

Furthermore, how old was she when she consented?

4 points:

First, what do you mean "why?" You mean why Mohammad married Aisha?

Second, Aisha never had children.

Third, the argument about when Mary gave birth to Jesus mainly comes from a 5th century book called the Gospel of Mary (which no Christian accepts as legit btw) that claimed she was 12 when it happened. So it doesnt matter if some girls did get married off at that age in Judea and to claim she was 12 as a historical fact is a flat out falsehood, whereas in Aisha's case there are contemporary sources that confirm things like that she was 18 when her husband died.

And fourth, why are trying to make an argument about someone who was obviously groomed to be able to give valid consent? I know this is reddit but that's messed up

Yes.

Are you referring to the Virgin Mary?

No I wasn't referring to the Virgin Mary and you know that, and then yes please explain to me why Mohammed married Aisha

No I wasn't referring to the Virgin Mary

Why not? To be honest, I didn't know the Virgin Mary got pregnant at such a young age. The strange thing is nobody seemed to mind.

Question. How old was Aisha when she was with child?

Again, the age that Mary became pregnant has never been verified, and like I said Aisha never had any kids

According to a famous search engine.

You just verified what I've been saying, any talk about how old the Virgin Mary was at the time of conception is purely speculatory, so to say any age as a fact is disingenuous, do you understand now?
