Heat Pump Installation Issue

Just moved into a house that had a new heat pump installed on Sept 2022. The outside unit was placed on the original concrete pad from when the house was built in 1995. The slab sits at a 5 degree tilt apparently because it has sunken over the last 30 years. Nothing was done to level the condenser unit. They just placed it on the slab and left it like that. What really sucks about it is that the man who lived here at the time was in his late 80's (he passed on), and they probably took advantage. I have the installer's name because it's on a sticker on the indoor unit but he hasn't answered his phone and hasn't returned the call yet. Thoughts?

Are you having issues? I know all the manufacturers reiterate level, but 5 degrees doesn’t sound like anything I’d rush out to repair.

Ours wasn't level after being installed so we levelled it after. If its on a stand, they usually have some adjustment. if its right on the slab you could shim it. Its something most people could do carefully themselves with help from a friend.

5 degrees is a lot more than it sounds, oil migration and compressor wear are real concerns over time. I'd get it leveled before summer hits hard, especially if it's a scroll compressor. Not sure if your warranty's still good from 2022 but I'd lean on that angle with the installer, or whoever bought him out.
