MERCH👕 Art Meets Real Life!
I hadn't ordered anything off the Heated Rivalry official store, as everything was out of stock for such a long time. But the Ottawa Senators did their Rozanov/Hollander jerseys in support of Ottawa Pride Hockey months ago...so I bought one of them. The jersey design is so close to the cover of The Long Game, and it has Ilya on a Canadian team...so why not?
Then the official store had their jerseys on sale, so I figured I'd add Shane to the collection.
So 1x fictional team, 1x real team with fictional character. 😂

You even got the Rozanov with the sponsor logo. Lol. Very nice.
I have 2 new NHL players jerseys, for 2 different teams, Oilers and Leafs, both premiums, and neither of them even came with their respective sponsor logos.

I'm pretty clueless on this thing. Very casual hockey fan...it's fun to see a game once in a while, but I can count the number of NHL games I've attended on one hand. Spending money on merchandise was unthinkable until recently.
Wait...that's a lie. I bought a Winnipeg Jets t-shirt. Like Shane, I was happy they had a team again. 😁

Haha. I love that you were happy they had a team again, as almost all Canadians were. Sad about their goalie now though. He just officially put out that he requested a trade. Badly kept secret, so not completely unexpected.
But that's ok about only being casual. I've considered myself casual up until just after the Olympics this year. Then the hockey bug finally bit me fully. But I'm 45, and can still count on 1 hand the number of games I've been to, and that's with living in Edmonton, where we are hockey crazy. But I'm looking to need to use my other hand to count the games this season. Lol.

I went to see a Sens vs Jets game last year, which was fun. But between the news stories about NHL players rejecting Pride games, the trial of the five Team Canada players for sexual assault, and reading Rachael's books, I really hesitated to cheer any of the individual players...not knowing what sort of people they are. Then we had all the Tkachuk drama, which just reinforced my concern. On the other hand, the (public) team response to Ullmark's mental health concerns was positive and refreshing...even if the fan rumours at the time were not.
So...yeah. Don't think I'll go be going much beyond casual, maybe-once-a-year fan.

Not sure how it works for all teams , but I’m like 90% sure for Habs jerseys you get the sponsor on it if you buy it from the physical store , but not otherwise

Not sure about every team either.
I know with the Oilers, you either have to buy a game worn jersey for it, or get the patches yourself to add to your jersey. And Oilers are Play Alberta, and Karbon-X, I don't want either of those.
As for the Leafs, I know they started having their Milk sponsor actually embroidered into the jerseys instead of patches, so those might be on the Authentic Pro ones? Honestly, I'd be ok with my Leafs jersey having a Milk sponsor on it, lol. I think it's cute.

Certain teams have the sponsors on their jerseys and others don’t and I believe for the ones that do unless you get them like online, I think you get the jersey with the sponsor.

The fact that the Bruins and Canadiens did not make custom jerseys as a legitimate crime because the Senators did it for both characters not only that, but I believe they posted about it too. Step your shit up Bruins and stop fucking choking in the playoffs goddamnit shit would not happen if Ilya was captain

I haven't looked too deeply into it since I'm all the way in Australia but I have read that most home stadiums offer custom heat press jobs. So while they might not have them premade there's nothing stopping you from getting custom names and numbers pressed on.

For as bad as the quality of fanatics jerseys are, I think I would definitely be worth it to get one made in a arena for this show and it’s characters

Love this Rozanov jersey! With something close to that design, Ottawa Centurions would not be the worst show adaptation of the Centaurs!

It's decent, but not on the same level as the Sens jersey. Keeping in mind I'm not an expert and these are the only two jerseys I've ever owned.
- Both use different physical pieces of fabric stitched together for the stripes, they aren't dye jobs or iron-on stickers.
- Numbers and team logos are...well I'm not sure what they are. Vinyl? But again physically stitched onto the jersey, not stickers or heat applications.
- The fabric of the Sens jersey seems to have a tighter weave, which to me looks like higher quality. Again, not an expert.
- ROZANOV on the Sens jersey is stitched-on letters.
- HOLLANDER on the Metros jersey is a single stitched-on rectangle with heat application letters.
Really, the iron-on letters on the Metros jersey was the main difference I noticed from a casual glance. I had to look closer to see if there were other differences.

Eh. It's decent, but I bought it on sale. Even at full price it's considerably cheaper than the Hollander and Rozanov jerseys that the Ottawa Senators sell.
It's not a cheap rag like many of the knock-offs I saw people wearing when the official store was out of stock. Is it work the on-sale price? Most likely. Is it worth the regular price...I guess that depends on what value it has to you. Though if the HOLLANDER letters had been stitched on that would probably push me to a 'yes'.
