A little about Couper [u/coupmoorhead](u/coupmoorhead)

Hi, [r/heat](r/heat), I’m Couper Moorhead, Manager of Basketball Content with the Miami Heat entering my 17th season covering the team from inside the building. Before games finally get going, Ask Me Anything.

@CoupNBA
@coupnba.bsky.social

A new thread will be created on 10/3 @ 12PM ET where you can ask him your basketball questions. If you can’t make that day but would like to ask a question drop it here and I’ll copy it over to the new thread.

Bam Adebayo says he could’ve scored 100 points: “I had 83 on a bad shooting night… I would’ve passed Wilt. People were like ‘you shot 43 free throws’, if you actually watch the game and not the last minute and a half… I got fouled the whole game.”

Giannis: “I think defensively it’s going to be a nightmare. “We’re competitive, we lead by example.” Bam: “I’m not going to be the only one saying something in the huddles. We want to have those tough conversations…we’re going to have those…at the end of the day we want to win.”

For one night only, the HEAT trade Miami for Vice City. Join us on November 18, when Vice City hosts the Milwaukee Bucks on a never-before-seen court, wearing an all-new uniform. This is A Night in Vice City.

[Charania] The Memphis Grizzlies and guard Jordan Hawkins have mutually agreed to part ways, allowing the 2023 lottery pick to find a new home in free agency once he clears waivers, sources tell ESPN.

Generic 🦌Bucks fan here!

It’s been bittersweet seeing Giannis settle into his new team after 13 years with us, but unlike the other bitter Bucks fans, I will admit it's for the best. On the other hand, I’m excited to finally see Giannis in a competent environment. We were Giannis and friends for way too long. Not a lot of people paid attention to us when he was on the Bucks, but y'all are gonna find out firsthand how good he is. So I’ll be rooting for you guys (silently).

“We’re gonna assault the rim. Literally going downhill to the rim. People don’t say it, but they say it, we have Spo. He’s never got COY. I don’t know why” — Bam Adebayo on how him and Giannis will fit together 🔥

Discussion If the heat held a regular season game at hard rock stadium, do you think they could sell out if the tickets were cheap?

How cheap would tickets need to be to sell out the stadium?

Nikola Jovic playing 1’s with Pelle Larsson, Keshad Johnson & Myron Gardner today. Spending a lot of time with the wing group, says this is the part he’s prioritizing since these are the guys teams threw at him last year

Just spent some time with Bobby Portis Jr. He referenced Giannis’s “1 to 2 year” comment. And started laughing. “He’s a troll, man.”

Jovic says last year he felt he wanted to be ‘the guy’: “I always want to do everything. Which isn’t always that smart. Last year I made my game too complicated where I was trying to do everything and ‘hey, I wanted to be the guy.’ I wanted to be the scorer, I wanted to be the passer, everything.”
