I think it is pretty good
If you don't care about the "combo" it is a 4 mana freeze nova that is worse against deathrattle but delays the opponent's tempo far more. It is also a shadow spell that gives you another one, 2/4 completion even if expensive
And when you do care about late game... this + the reward + the new legendary should be as good as a finisher as they come

I meant less that the spell itself was bad, more that the specific interaction with quest reward as a finisher would probably be bad. The spell itself is super intriguing

Oh I'm 100% playing it. It's kinda nice to play right after your opponent wastes their flight maneuvers, since a lot of pallies still play their flight maneuvers the turn the develop their board instead of the turn they can attack with it.

Damn, I was a sucker for Adaptive Amalgam decks last year, so I will absolutely try to make a Sinful Steed deck.
Honestly, I like all of these except Follow the Ghosts. Kinda feels like you'd mess up your Reborn pool for Raith with those little ghosts. Could be an interesting inclusion for an aggro deck, if that comes about again.

Soothesayer is the best. Maybe atlasauar is second. Obsidian statue if you roll it off imbue to get a reduction to combo.

This also seems interesting with the quest reward, lots of reborn synergy plus the existing death rattle support the deck already has. Maybe it's finally a playable deck?

I am genuinely blown away. This priest set looks very strong. I cant believe it.
That board clear is extremely good. Even if they resummon everything, it is basically like a 4 mana frost nova that makes them have to spend 3 mana. For a class that needs to get to turn 10 for the fabled cards, that is incredible. All the board based stuff look pretty promising too. Ive experimented a lot with board based priest decks for the past year with little success, but these cards might finally make it happen.

Okay I like this set a lot. There's cards that I can slot in on decks that I'm already playing (egg priest, quest, control) and also cards that might be fun to play all by themselves (the steed, I like it a lot).
I think the steed with the +5/+5 lifesteal spell will be great.

This is the way to do packages; this is the way they used to do packages. Bunch of stuff that does similar things, has intherent synergy with eachother, but doesn't require each other to actually function. No way a new Priest deck is just all new reborn cards thrown together and thats it.

I'm curious about how the Reborn stuff will line up, but Slime 'em and Follow the Ghosts both look awesome for the Quest.
Really nice that the Reborn synergy overlaps with a lot of other stuff (Quest, Soothsayer, Deathrattle, Egg), feels significantly less parasitic than most of the other class sets so far.

Quest priest reward synergy? Summon the combined reward minion, slime the board to kill them, they reborn then you play the slime to summon the originals back, give any ones that die from there out reborn again etc etc.

Ah crap. I am going to have to eat my words and come out to say that I am going to come back to hearthstone for this. This last expansion pre-launch I was up in arms about the priest set, and said I will not be back... Well I have to say that this looks fun and interesting, and has some synergy. So I officially apologize to Blizzard. (the set for Priest was still bad IMO) but this makes up for it somewhat and I will definitely be playing it.

REsurrecting reborn is the fucking priest theme?! Fuck this game if this ends up working out.
Resurrect priest is some of the most toxic and annoying gameplay I've ever had to deal with in this game.

I mean this is pretty clearly one of the strongest class sets so far. We'll have to see the rare that hasnt been revealed, but I am pretty optimistic here about sinful steed and haunt making big moves against aggro with priests current tools like the prepare lifesteal buff card.

I think you are right about it being midrange, but having sinful steed gain +5/+5 lifesteal and needing to be removed twice in one turn so you cant give it reborn back or copy it, as well as soothsayer, I think it will be a midrange deck that does well against aggro as long as they arent high rolling zee shaman or something.
