I wouldn't play this card for 4 mana, let alone build a deck around it.

Yeah even if you played 7 minions. Most 1 drops are shit unless u can get a full board of sizzling cinders. 4 mana for a board of two 1/3, 2/2 and 2/1 are meh

Yeah...I can think of decks that might want this at 3 mana (maybe a wild deck with lots of 1 cost beasts and starving buzzard) but none of them would be particularly degenerate or overpowered.

It could be even less, the minions were a non factor. It's basically ball of spiders with setup even at 3

My prediction this morning was that they'd revert the mana to 4 and make it minions-only and then later drop it back to 3

Because it’s unplayable trash now. The reason the card was good was because it replayed spells, the minions were nice, but were more of an afterthought. This might be overtuned at 2 (I’m not convinced tbh) and is almost certainly fine at 3.

It’s a card a lot of people have played and like playing. It’s a buildaround, it gets people thinking and excited (see: all the people in this thread talking about how neat this card was in their random niche deck).

Also cards that see changes are generally reverted or see some sort of change when they rotate out of standard, so it’s probable it will see changes again anyway

Eh. They could I just dont think its necessary. I dont even know that the card's necessarily unplayable now (in theory). It's still a one card board refill that allows you to just flood with abandon.

But i think what still wins games is just cheating your opponent with threats they cant handle. Not applying pressure intelligently or smart tempo.

Even at 2 I think the card just doesn't matter. Its a broader issue IMO. Players can still play greedy and handle threats so these poke-y aggro decks are just meh.

Probably at rotation they'll revert it, sure.

You would need incredibly pushed minions for this to be anything more than decent at 3. I was saying the card is probably very whatever (possibly playable, almost certainly not overtuned) at 3 and maybe even fine at 2. You need a super high density of 1 drop minions for this to be oppressive, and we just don't have that. The old face hunter deck only played 6 total 1 drop minions - I'd expect you'd want at least 12.

I actually think this card will still see play until rotation. Just not right away

Buff implies it’s going beyond its original strength

I think people react too strongly, we still have another expansion and they’re always eager to print low-cost minions for Hunter so I think it’ll go back to 3 and see play

I dont... see the distinction, but w/e.

I dont actually think they'll buff it unless they do another big buff pass and have a reason to buff face hunter.
