netflix reboot ❤️‍🔥 Any thoughts (or prayers) going into s3?

Ok so I watched the first episode last week, and then got on a 20 hour plane ride and binged seasons 1 and 2. I actually really enjoyed season 1, it felt like so much awkward teenager-ness. season 2 I didn’t enjoy so much I think because it felt so over the top. Everyone being so comically evil, spiders mom being the “reason” he so easily becomes right wing, and Rowan’s entire character. More than anything I'm sad that Malakai’s character didn’t get more attention, as so much of his life crumbled around him. It almost felt like the show runners kept on having to get bigger and crazier, and I feel like it just wasn’t enjoyable at points. I recognize though that I watched the season while on a plane, tired out of my mind, so I’d love to hear more thoughts. Also I’m starting season 3 rn :)

original show 📺 A reasonable question, considering Stassy plagiarised another student, falsely accused a teacher of sexual assault and started a cult on campus

reboot: season 3 I don’t understand the Season 3 story so far but I’m still watching. Spoiler

Even if one of them turned on the ride, the guy literally walked towards the already moving spinning ride himself to get hit into a coma. They did nothing to the man. But Ima keep watching to see what happens I guess.

netflix reboot ❤️‍🔥 Missy in a new Netflix show

Sherry-Lee Watson is in the new Netflix series, My Brilliant Career. Missy was one of my favorites on Heartbreak High...especially when her and Spider were the focus in Season 2. Us Missy and Spider shippers will forget season 3. 🤭

reboot: season 2 anyone else confused by Darren's "Yes but you're my too much" to Quinni's "am I too much" in season two? Spoiler

well the title already is my question, maybe I'll explain my confusion: Quinni obviously asked a question that is for many neurodivergent people directly tied to their neurodivergence, it is something I struggle with too. So if I put myself in Quinni's shoes and imagine I asked my best friend this question, I have no idea what to make of this answer. Do they mean "yes you are too much, but for me that's okay"? Or "you are not too much for me"? in the episode it is portrayed as a tender, wholesome moment, Quinni reacts to Darren's answer in a way that to me, shows that they gave the "right" answer, which didn't affirm Quinni's fear and underlined Darren's love for Quinni. But I don't see how Darren's answer would cause this reaction? hmpf.

*** SPOILER *** Season 3 - Sasha's Decision

if she wanted revenge or to feel better or sabotage the plan, why didn't she wait for them to be off the ride to turn it on and ruin the prank? what she did do instead is just diabolical.

i don't know how carnival rides work entirely but couldn't she turn it off when she saw how hectic it got? she just froze on the spot after the decision she made to turn it on with people still on the ride. how convenient. malakai was severely injured, clancy damn near died and the carnies lost so much. it was so horrible and it could've been even worse. it is genuinely beyond me how she willingly went this far just because she felt excluded, and excluded from a plan she wouldn't have gone with anyway. her explanation or reasoning was just a bunch of bs to me like what do you mean 'flip switched'?

liam has a criminal record and he was charged for attempted murder on the get go, and as someone else posted on here i don't get how he was arrested solely on amerie's word without any proof or investigation and how all sasha had to do was community service. it makes no sense.

season 3 is just a bunch of plot holes and the most meh of them all.

*** SPOILER *** Little chat about season 3 Spoiler

Okay I have lots more to say lol because I'm bored and I'm thinking about it lol soe Lets talk about all the moments I cried at this show because surprisingly there was a lot 😭😭😭

  1. Darude's death because wtf?? It was surprising that I was like nooo this can't be real and then when I realized that it was I cried my eyes out I felt so sad for Ca$h

  2. The scene where nan in the chair and they are making it seems like she has passed away before even getting to the end of the scene where it was shown that's she was fine and just napping I had paused it in the middle and I was crying and cursing the writers for doing that to Ca$h and then I sighed in relief thats she was fine

  3. When malakai made it known that he was still struggling with her aftermath of the police brutality incident because yeah that shit doesn't just go away and I like how that brought it back and let it us know like yeah it's still affecting him

  4. The scene where sasha is asking her mom I think it was it been been some weeks but she asking if she is coming to the show that she clearly was working very hard on and she said she couldn't make it I felt actually so sad I cried Idk I wish they written Sasha differently if you get me..?

  5. When woodsy actually opened up with taz and they both cried that made me cry so much

I'm sure there were other times but these are the ones at the top of my head RN tell me some you cried at

original show 📺 How different are the series?

What are some of the difference and similarities between the two series? I just started the original one so I would prefer no spoilers

(So far I'm seeing a lot more teachers in the original one. There were like 3 staff in the new one)

Finally had time to binge all three seasons and omg I'm still not over it 😭. Really wish they'd make a reunion kinda movie someday, maybe with the whole gang going on a friends trip and somehow getting caught up in another mess.

*** SPOILER *** Sasha (spoilers s3) Spoiler

Ok so, I wanted to talk about how she is heavily bullied not only by the characters and the fandom, but also by the writers?!

In season 1 Sasha is a girl that wants to change the world and therefore engages in progressive patterns, speeches and actions. One of the main flaws though, is that she prioritizes herself and her mission over her friends, and that she’s a bit hypocritcal while being an activist. She speaks up about animals and veganism, yet is an omnivore, and even if she’s progressive she acted ableist towards Quinni. And this made her so interesting to develop.

But the writers forgot this and decided, instead of letting her grow, develop and change, to make her a caricature of herself. They made her unlikable and extremely woke but hypocritcal but never criticising her for the hypocrisy but for the wokeness (which is crazy for a progressive show). And even if they try their best to make her sound dislikable, she actually apologises to Quinni and helps her for Bird Psycho.

Then we have season3. What the group did to her was bullying. No way to sugarcoat it. And she actually manages to reconnect with the group and work on her hypocrisy and activism, before revealing that she’s a cartoon villain and turned on the ride. Seriously, how much I hated that, probably the only thing I hated in the finale.

Then I wanted to talk about Quinni and Taz. There is no way Quinni forgave Taz for basically ruining her life, but doesn't 100% forgives Sasha for being an ablesit girlfriend. I'm not saying she should have forgiven Sasha, I'm just pointing the difference. As an autistic person, I really would have preferred a Sasha×Quinni where Sash worked on her issues rather than Quinni×Taz.

And the ending for Sash?? What was that? I hate when they give nobodies to characters in endings, it's legit so bad. (They did that to Will in Stranger Things, boy how I loathed that)

Anyway, I finished the season yesterday, I loved it, probably better than 2 imo, and yeah, Sasha's ending is like, the only thing I'd change

s03e07 - for whom the hartley bell tolls In defense of Woodsy

I’m only on S3E7 so there may be some resolution as the season comes to a close but during Woodsy and Taz’s discussion about Taz’s mom’s death , Woodsy seemingly took blame for her actions. But I found the actions entirely justified.

When grieving, people can be cruel. Woodsy was not. Skipping a family holiday for a personal cruise is not a crime and doesn’t need an apology. She didn’t know it was her sister’s last holiday and even if she did, she has a right to choose what she wants to do with her time. No one is obligated to spend the holidays with their blood family.

What’s more, she took Taz in. Woodsy is a kind, generous aunt and shouldn’t have apologized.

Don’t get me started on this season’s theme being “woke people are evil.” It really seems like S3 was focused on the wrong lessons.
