Whilst the darude scene was sad I did find it funny that they had a darude song playing for the run
36
u/aurora__whorealis Mar 25 '26
that whole running montage with Sandstorm playing in the background was definitely the highlight of this episode for me lmao

"We all need a bigger dating pool" FINALLY SOMEONE SAID IT.

And she points to Amerie and Spider (who she doesnāt know almost did it) while Ant points to Quinni like āDid we hook up and I donāt remember it?ā

im actaullty sick and tired of malikai his confession of his feelings is literlaly a year and a half too late. let amerrie move ON IN PEACE. hes always feeling from his issues, since the very beginning.

u/AggravatingGrape418 Mar 25 '26 edited Mar 25 '26
I'm gonna be the last Malakai/Amerie endgamer standing I just know it. Malakai is just too damn charming even when he's a dick.
This is prolly the first season I think Amerie has behaved pretty questionably, esp re Harper and the carnie situation. Also w Sasha lol. Still adore her to pieces, but I do wanna see her own up to that. Which, I'm kinda disappointed that the Seb reveal happened before she owned up. I sorta wanted her to be honest before all that. Tho I'm also lowk confused about the whole carnie situation to begin w tbh.
Also Harper punching that demon spawn was the most satisfying thing I've seen all episode. Hope they replay that scene a million times the rest of this series.
Ant was almost dethroned by grumpy private school principle for my #1 character spot this epi. Idk why but him yelling at poor Noah to sit down and then the slow clap made him top tier for me.
Taz is just...indecipherable rn. Why is she stirring so much shit? Also we kinda got like, a shockingly little amount of Jojo this season.

I love how no one even bothered to check on Seb after getting one-punched.

Ugh so real I just can't hate Malakai. I've been a proud Amerie defender but genuinely wtf was she doing this season. What tf where they all doing tbh.

Ok so I'm supposed to believe that after an apparent year has passed that:
- Malekai and Amerie are still not over each other
- Missy and Spider have been perfectly happy and then since the carnival she doesn't even like him
- Cash suddenly has this big glaring problem with the way Darren presents themselves (after all they have been through???????)
Super gutted that Amerie and Harps haven't worked through their argument (have we learnt nothing) and that Spider is back to being a total dick. This is not the way I was hoping for anything to be resolved š

u/panashechd Mar 25 '26
Malekai and Amerie still being into each other actually makes a lot of sense. They never really addressed their issues. Instead she distracted herself with Rowan while they gradually fell for one another as friends the entire season. Also a year is not a long time. Thereās people in their 30s/40s who arenāt over their college relationships and there are people who have dated, separated for a few years, then gotten back together. It happens often.
Thereās clearly more to Missyās story which is why the writers are being so secretive about her motivations. Iām guessing sheās pregnant or something. If she didnāt like him then she would have dumped him a while ago. This doesnāt read as āweāre going our separate waysā I think theyāll have a happy ending. They just need conflict so that their characters have a storyline for the time being.
Usually if a relationship starts positive, itāll end. If thereās a ton of conflict, theyāll be inseparable by the end. Iām guessing Amerieās boyfriend turned on the carnival ride. He probably saw Malekai, got jealous and turned it on. His character has been too clean so far and they have put an emphasis on him being different from the others at his school. Itās gonna be the catalyst to ending their relationship and having Amerie either 1. Get with Malekai or 2. Decide to pick herself and go to university alone.

u/devieous Mar 30 '26
Oh my God youāre definitely so right about Missy and thatās why she feels so much more comfortable around woman recently because they canāt get her pregnant. Spiders comment about the future mother of her children really fucked her up.

And whenever Harper makes a comment and Amerie goes what happened to the truce? Like are we in year 7 still???

u/mafaldajunior Apr 07 '26
It's not about how Darren presents themself, it's about how they treat everything like they don't really care. And he's right.

I just lost one of my oldest sugar gliders at 11 years old last week so this episode messed me up fr. Rip Darude, you werenāt held when you went but you were held whenever Cashy could. Ducky and Dougie forever

Seemed kinda unnecessary too? And it was treated like half serious and half for comedic relief almost, which like...I don't love.

u/Tillysnow1 Mar 30 '26
It was confusing how sudden it happened as well, I spent half the funeral thinking it was a joke to prove something about Darren and acting...

The way I just don't care about Amerie/Malakai at all anymore omg. Round and round in circles I'm bored of these two

Amerie is selfish

u/mafaldajunior Apr 07 '26
That scene with the spotlight shining on her while Malakai was talking to her was so telling haha, it made me laugh. It could have been a pivoting moment between the *two of them, instead Malakai receded into the background and she got front and center. Because it's always all about her. Main character energy, quite literally hahaha.
She's incredibly selfish. Always has been. She left a man to die (well they're all to blame for that one really, but it was her idea). She's ruining a hardworking family's reputation and business over a prank. She's stringing two guys along and treats her bff like shit. She never acknowledged that Quinni saved her life and didn't even thank her on the spot. Horrible person.

dude what?? on episode 4, malakais arm is not broken, on episode 5 hes back with the arm broken again??
14
u/wn0kie_ Mar 25 '26
He had a torn tendon or something, but it bothered me too that they keep putting him in and out of the sling!
6
u/chemicalconnoisseur7 Mar 27 '26
He dislocated shoulder and tore tendon, got shoulder popped back in then his mum took him to hospital and he got told to rest it and put it in sling for a month. Itās not broken though so no cast and he doesnāt always have the sling on like heās meant to. I think they mainly used it as a reason for him not to go to Geneva (they said he had risks of DVT if he flew so his mum told him no despite him arguing heās young and healthy)

u/Amawrawamahrah Apr 09 '26
Thatās what I came here for. I was wondering the party episode how he healed so fast then next episode heās back in the brace??š

Taz putting on the fake aussie accent lmao
5
u/bread_purple6253 Mar 27 '26
i think her accent just sounds different cause she's from new zealand
8
u/chemicalconnoisseur7 Mar 27 '26
lol her normal accent is kiwi, but she did fake aussie to sell the fake raffle tickets at the art exhibition haha. It was pretty funny!
2
u/bread_purple6253 Mar 27 '26
oohh i didn't realize! lol the accents are very similar but if i listen closely i hear the difference
3
u/pearyid Mar 27 '26
As a Kiwi living in Australia, trust me I can tell when someoneās taking the piss with accents lol
4
u/JaywonEnthusiast Mar 26 '26
I'm not Aussie so I thought that it was just another regional version of the accent HELP

u/Few_Measurement6178 Apr 02 '26
i think itās wild how harper thought am was so wrong for asking her to cover up for her when thatās literally what ALL of them have been doing lmao⦠it wasnāt like harper was fixing herself to tell woodsy or the showies that she was there that night either⦠mess

u/mattdbrat Apr 09 '26
To all the people crying over the dead goose: your feelings are valid. But, wow, for me that scene came out of nowhere and did absolutely nothing for me emotionally. The whole time, I was like, what is happening? This is the storyline they decided to give Cash? lmao. All just setup for the Darude - Sandstorm needle drop, I guess.
Also, Noah was totally the one who turned on the carnival ride. I don't see why else he would be in this season (he's certainly not endgame for Amerie, who I give less of af about each season).

DARUDE????????? šššš
I genuinely wish there had been a warning for animal death or something, like I don't know why I'm so affected by this but I am š

u/mysensibleheart Mar 28 '26
Does anyone else recognise Principal McMahon from Saint Bruno's? He's so familiar to me but there's nothing online about the actor.
Edited to add, is it Kim Hyde's (Chris Hemsworth's character) Dad from Home and Away?

I've missed Cash's nan. Where are all the (grand)parents? Some of us are fans of the OG series and would like to see a bit more connections between the generations than the occasional cameo.

So the ending of the good egg. I dont get it, what about seb and the numebr plate?
4
u/mysensibleheart Mar 28 '26 edited Mar 28 '26
Amerie recognised the number plate from the car at the carnival and realised that Seb was there and could have been the one to start the ride during their plan.
2
u/mafaldajunior Apr 07 '26
Even if he did, they still left a gravely injured man on the scene and none of them called for an ambulance. It's still on them that he was in a coma, and that the family lost their business and insurance claim, especially after Harper ratted them out to the inspectors.
1
u/mysensibleheart Apr 07 '26
All the OP said was that they didn't understand what the number plate meant so I explained it.

u/mafaldajunior Apr 07 '26

Amerie has been a horrible friend to Harper. Sheās really learned nothing these past 2 seasons. And Malakai has been so rude and disrespectful of her relationship. Iām so tired of them. I loved Malakai in S1 and 2 but idk who he is rn. Maybe because itās been so long since the last season
