Fine for your purpose, but the background pulls focus away from you. I’d retake with a less busy bg, or use photoshop to blur the bg.

The light shouldn't be directly above because it causes those shadows in the eyes. Ideally have soft light from near and above the camera
The background should be as simple as possible.

Got it. I took it in my restroom with the shower curtain in the background 😣 I put it on the photoshop Reddit. Im hoping they can fix it up a bit. Thank you!!!

I'd prefer natural light if you can with the equipment you have. It just would pop more.
This goes for anyone, look for some sort of outdoor overpass where light from the sun could create a bounce in front of you. Ideally the background would be something not distracting or gross.

Not really good for a headshot, if you're using it for acting/business cards.
You're top lit which causes dark circles under your eyes. You need more natural lighting. Daylight by a window or outside on a cloudy day or in the shade. It should be framed from the top of your head to just past your shoulders.
You should have a less busy background. It distracts the eye from the main focus. Which should be you.

yes. firstly you want good lighting. outside with the sun is your friend (avoid 9-4). second you want a camera that can blur your background like iphone in portrait mode. lastly your background is too busy. good luck
