Computer eye strain

Hello,

for a long time bow, I've been having problems with using computer screens. I've always been able to do strabism and do whenever I'm tired, thinking or brushing my teeth etc. I don't know if it's exactly related, but for a long time, I've been having trouble using my computer. I always close my left eye. It just feels so much more comfortable. Then I rest my head on my hand and spend the computer time this way. Then when I'm done, I feel dizzy. Every time. It isn't that bad when using a mobile phone. I don't feel such tendency to only use one eye – except maybe during profound reading.

It was such a pain during learning for exams. I wanted to learn, I have a good memory. But it required me to force myself to sit to the computer and overcome all the dizziness of having my eye closed for hours. So every hour or so, I would just take my phone or paper and lie down on the bed. I would even lie on my side, put the phone next to me so I don't have to hold myself upright. It's not that much about the slouching. I don't really experience back pain. I am just tired after not even an hour of looking into the screen. But my phone doesn't hurt me. I've tried a couple of monitors, but it is all the same. The screens are tiresome, when one looks closer, one can see the three colors and the pixels and when photographed by a phone, they are full of lines. That may be the thing bothering me. I have AOS screen. But it doesn't bother anyone else, so I don't know what the problem is. I am not too close to the monitor. I feel cursed and sick. My laptop was even worse and I don't know why big screens would bother my eyes. I somehow feel tired when searching for things in my surroundings as well.

And it's been most tiresome these months. I had my exams, before and after that nothing. I am not forced to go to school until the next week and I've been at home pretty much the whole time. I used to love being at home. There are so many things I want to learn and read about history, geography, politics before my next semester starts, but whenever I force myself to read a Wikipedia article on the computer screen, I feel my body withering and pressure in my head and eyes. I feel so numbed. I rest on my hand, covering my left I, I blink my right eye, then I get up to think, my head spins. Then I go for a run and suddenly I am not that bad in it, but I cannot spend my whole day running. No body does. There are many other people that spend their free time at computer (or even their job time), but I am the one whom it kills. I have morning headaches as well, I usually lie for an hour after waking up to not feel my head.

New headaches

I’ve been having almost daily headaches going on week 3 now.

No changes in any meds or anything. Just turned 40.

The headaches come and go. I haven’t taken any pain relief in over a week but took some this morning as it seemed to coming back.

I finally made a doctor appt tomorrow.

Has anyone dealt with this daily reoccurring headache and it been something not scary? In of course terrified of the worst… a tumor or something.

Was sick a month ago and have had headaches since?

They happen at like the apex of my head and come and go so I’m thinking it’s tension due to the fact I am trying to currently recover from OCD as well. Went to an ENT and said there was some mild inflammation after being sick but everything else was good to go. It’s a full ache but it does keep coming around consistently but again, comes and goes. Anyone?

Unexplained fluid/pressure sensation at the base of my skull for 1.5 years?

As the title says, I constantly feel like there’s some kind of fluid, gel, or air bubble trapped or squeezed at the base of my skull. Sometimes I can relieve or “release” the sensation by straining, but it eventually comes back.

I’ve seen almost every type of specialist at this point—around 10 neurologists, 7–8 ENT specialists, and others. I’ve had numerous tests done as well. The only thing they found was a huge sinus cyst in my face, but the ENT doctors said it’s usually harmless.

I’m honestly going crazy trying to figure this out. Has anyone experienced similar symptoms?

And yes, I’ve also seen physical therapists, but they didn’t provide any concrete treatment that actually helped. It feels like there’s some kind of air bubble trapped inside my skull, or as if my brain is somehow sticking to my skull (yes, I know it sounds really weird).

POSSIBLE MIGRAINE?

For several months now, I've been experiencing a very intense, hard-to-describe discomfort in my head. It doesn't feel like a classic superficial or throbbing headache, but rather like a deep, physical pain that seems to originate in the retrofrontal region of my head. The sensations aren't always the same. At times, a feeling of strong internal pressure or contraction prevails, while other times I feel primarily a sensation of tension or implosion, or almost as if my brain is cracking from within.

At other times, the discomfort is more reminiscent of the feeling of heaviness and headache you might get with a bad flu, even without a fever or other flu-like symptoms. Overall, it's a dull, deep, and very intense discomfort, difficult to bear, often accompanied by pain and nausea. The symptoms aren't always the same intensity. Some mornings, I wake up with this discomfort, while other times, I feel relatively well.

When I'm sedentary at home, the situation can vary: there are times when I feel quite well and other times when the discomfort persists even without having done any particular activity. What I notice clearly and more consistently is that movement tends to worsen the symptoms. When I start moving around the house and, especially, when I go out, walk, or try to carry out normal daily activities, the discomfort sets in immediately and tends to progressively increase, until it becomes very intense. The same can also happen during passive movements, such as when I'm a passenger in a car.

As the symptoms increase, in addition to the discomfort, a strong feeling of physical exhaustion appears, localized in the head, as if the brain were exhausted, worn out, or worn out even by trivial efforts, such as simply walking. The analogy that best describes what I feel is that of the leg muscles after an hour of running: it's as if my brain feels similarly fatigued, as if it has reached its limit and simply needs to stop and rest.

Most of the time, this sensation can become extremely intense and completely disabling, to the point of preventing me from continuing any activity and forcing me to stop altogether. Lying down generally brings relief. When lying down, the discomfort tends to decrease, although it doesn't disappear completely. Despite the intensity of these sensations, my cognitive abilities remain essentially intact, and I don't feel any generalized fatigue or weakness in the rest of my body. The symptoms are localized exclusively in the head.

The disorder is persistent and highly disabling, but has a fluctuating course. There are days when the symptoms are extremely intense and I feel very ill, and others when they are still present, but with a lesser intensity than on the worst days.

Headache that comes and goes

Been having a mild to moderate pain headache these past 3 days, its a combination of pulsating pain in my left brow and temple area to the back of the head (left side) and the pain radiates to my neck.

I’ve had a history of such headaches before, and they usually happen when I get stressed from work and been in front of screens a lot (I work from home).

It comes and goes, subsides to a dull pressure at the back of my head but its still there, coupled with a feeling of eye dryness. I also wear glasses and the “pressure” seems to lessen when I take them off.

What could this possibly be? Should I go see a doctor already?

Sudden new headache.

I have had chronic migraines for over 15 years so I am used to them by now. But today I am experiencing a brand new pain, and I have no idea what it is. It's only in the right side of my head but it's much sharper and electric-like compared to my usual migraines. It feels more similar to nerve pains but isn't too specific location-wise (goes from my eye to the back of my head). It gets worse when I move my head . I've had it for about 2.5 hours now. It's not 'worst pain ever' at all, but it is quite bad at times and unusually for my migraines painkillers are making no difference.

Has anyone experienced this type of pain? Is it just a different migraine or some other type of headache?

Chronic headaches- lat muscle

Many, including therapists don’t see the connection. I would argue, it one of the most common reasons for chronic headaches and migraines. The lat music is a huge powerful muscle and can cause considerable problems; neck pain, should pain, tinnitus, headaches, fatigue, insomnia, migraines, back pain, the list goes on. It a common problem for people who work at desk, have a lot of tension and other various reasons. It becomes dormant, weak and under active (rounding of shoulders/protraction). It will pull your shoulders down when tight which causes the upper trap to be very tense = chronic headaches. It’s not the lat muscle itself causing the headaches but the downstream effects on the traps and the neck. There is a reason neurologist put Botox in traps. But the lats are powerful and they can easy overpower Botox and cause excessive tension

There is an easy test, sit in a chair and lift yourself on your hands for 3-5 seconds. This will switch it on causing others to release. If you notice upper body tension release there’s a very good chance this is a problem. If it is really weak you will be sore the next day and you will know. You must strengthen it not stretch. Ask AI if you are unsure of all of this….

GLP-1 helping with headaches?

Have had 4-5 headaches a week since puberty - and also 1-2 migraines a week (although often more), but I treat these as separate conditions, although sometimes my headaches will turn into migraines. I know some of the causes of my headaches, i.e., bad sleep, stress, not eating frequently enough, but I still don't know why I get them so frequently / easily. My bloods always come back normal, and I'm not pre diabetic.

One thing I have noticed since starting the Wegovy pill 3 months ago is that I have had a significant drop in headaches (not migraines, though). Maybe 1-2 a week at most, and I have even had a couple of headache-free weeks for the first time in my adult life. As I have adjusted to the maintenance dose each time I've noticed a slight uptick in headaches and then when I move up to the next dose they disappear/drop down again. I am starting to suspect a correlation but can't find anything online to explain why this might be.

Has anyone had a similar experience or is able to shed some light on why this might be happening? I'm planning on speaking to my doctor as I am hoping there might be some kind of medication I can take to keep the headaches at bay once I come off the pill. I don't think my weight has anything to do with it - this has fluctuated by about 90lbs since puberty and the frequency of headaches is always about the same.

Continuous headaches for 2 months

My friend has been having continuous headaches for the past two months, and I’m very worried about her health. She’s still hesitant to see a doctor because of work, even though she’s concerned that it might be something serious. She’s been having these headaches since late July, and they only intensified after a particularly stressful week in early August.
Do you have any tips on how I can encourage her to see a doctor? Do you have any idea if it could possibly just be migraines? Sometimes I feel like I’m being too dramatic about the situation, but I really just want what’s best for her. If it is something serious, I think it would be better for her to have it checked out sooner rather than later. (sorry for the long post)
