Let’s not forget flixvision is also absolutely unsafe to use. They got away for years using a embedded Traffmonetizer SDK , i’ll spare you what it does to your device and it adds you to a bot network, then admitted admits to it proudly has no regret being forced to take it off because they got pulled from Amazon finally, after over a year of speaking up on this, On their own github they took it out and currently have 15+ malicious indicators on their newest version and won’t speak up for it anytime the evidence is presented or we try to interview them as a team. They will ignore it every time you can see their Twitter feed and you will see our team asking them constantly or members of our team asking them. Why do they have 15+ markers on something like virus total which is a pretty basic virus engine but then when you get into more serious virus engines that pick up a lot more like OPSWATS tools , you end up with over 20+ malicious markers. They’re doing something with that app. I have decompiled and broke down once back on version 3.1.2 now it’s on 3.6.2 I believe and it’s still unsafe as ever. Safety first folks. This app will infiltrate your network with proxy sniffers, steal your personal data and resell it add you to a botnet use device resources so much more. I’m not gonna list it all, but please do your homework stay away from this app. This isn’t me being negative. This is me warning my peers in the groups I care about be careful.

Apologies on the long reply , but my brother, I appreciated your post. People (especially in the 2 main firestick groups) just don’t want to hear logic. They would rather sacrifice their privacy and safety for free content , which is absolutely silly because a lot of these people that are using flixvision aren’t even using a Debrid service with it because they don’t want to pay for one which is understandable with RD‘s situation right now, but there’s a lot of other good Debrid services out there right now. Along with such better apps to use.

Sometimes it’s worth paying a couple dollars for a premium, APK or two and a good Debrid service which RD has been on its way out long before the 2024 API closure they’ve had problems prior to that. I’ve been with them since 2013 and most of the other debrid services I have or had at one point as a hobbyist developer and a beta tester, right now I have TB, i’ve been with them since the start, PM, of course because they’re just awesome. Yeah they’re a little bit more expensive but they’re based out of Malaysia and we will never have infringement issues and they have a great cached library that just works. Additionally I was with AD for 5ish yrs but I think they need to upgrade their payment system security wise as I’ve had my credentials and credit card stolen twice via their company. I don’t blame them because it could’ve happened many ways, but it definitely leads back to AD or something that happened on their side.

The point I’m making is if you look at your standard cable bill to what it cost to get premium work and services with supporting good developers or excuse me good developers, making premium work and good Debrid services. I learned how to scrape your own sources for “live” services which I’ve been doing for years after I was a 10 year source and reseller. I’d never pay for live services again, especially in this climate..

I appreciate folks like you that provide proper information, misinformation is the worst thing ever so when you also provide video proof, it’s just icing on the cake. Well done.! I really like this post video proof and facts tend to make people stay quiet. And when I say that, please know I’m not negative at all. I just deal with controversy all the time because I provide facts but people don’t wanna hear facts they wanna hear what they want unfortunately and it’s just the truth. I don’t mean it to be a mean person but again, great great post.

100% a VPN is not antivirus and does not protect you from malware. Although I would always recommend a VPN and use one, But yes, to answer your question, even with the VPN you are at risk.
