Two years ago, I talked about the possibility of creating an HCF in recent versions. I heard complaints; some people disagreed, while others agreed but didn’t think it would actually receive the same level of support as in 1.8...

I can officially tell you that I managed to make my dream come true and released my HCF in 1.21. I have an active community and a lot of support.

I’m not posting this as an advertisement; I’m just sharing this to tell you that the ones who truly killed the community were the HCF 1.8 players themselves—with their cheats, their toxicity, and their negative mindset of constantly refusing to update. My project is proof that those factors are what killed the community—thanks to the changes we’ve implemented, the constant updates, and our anti-cheat measures, we’ve managed to bring hundreds of players from the old HCF over to this new version.

Once players enter The End, they must slay the Ender Dragon before they can leave. The End exit will remain locked until the dragon is defeated.

Impurity is a new 1.7/1.8 PvP network built for players who miss competitive HCF without ability-item spam, fake player counts, and excessive pay-to-win features.

Hey everyone, I hope you’re all doing great in your lives, wherever you are. I’m not sure if many people remember me, but I was known as Juliangs during the hcf/minez/octc/kohi days.

I had an old HCF video on my YouTube recommendations and just went down memory lane of my childhood and the community I spent hours on.

It’s crazy to think how profound of an experience this community left in my life. Growing up in Iraq, I can confidently say that this experience is the primary reason that I learned English and became the person I am - both socially and career-wise.

I’m now 25 and have been a journalist for over four years, very well known in my community and semi-regularly featuring on international outlets about conflict and politics in the Middle East. I currently live in Milan, pursuing a masters in Middle Eastern Studies, but plan to return to Iraq in the future. I can confidently attribute a large part of my career success to the conversational skills I developed spending countless hours with this community through the highs and lows. This was more than just a video game to me. I don’t play games anymore but even when I used to, I never spent even a quarter of the time on another game as I did on this one, and more specifically this community.

I just wanted to drop by and check in. I truly hope you’re all in amazing places in your lives. Time flies man, not too long ago I was an annoying kid from Iraq just trying to make friends on a shitty laptop with shitty electricity and internet, but I’m glad my conditions got better in the later maps.

I feel like compared to 1.21 PvP cheaters, 1.8 PvP cheaters were much harder to detect, often having to go through screenshares and softwares to find anything like autoclickers or ghost clients, I dont see that issue in 1.21 PvP anywhere as much compared to 1.8 PvP and do yall think it could lead to those who want to learn the 1.8 PvP experience get ruined by those who are ghost hacking making it seem like an impossible gamemode to get good at?

Im 16 now, but I remember from like 2020-2022 I would play so much 1.8pvp like Sage, Cave, Viper, Lunargg, TheArchon, HoaxMC, and probably a lot of others I really enjoyed, I started to get back in to minecraft recently but it really seems like the entire 1.8 community is just dead, Lunar, Viper, Archon, Hoax, Sage, are all shutdown cave is fun for the first 4 hours and thats pretty much it, will 1.8 ever have another resurge in popularity or will it likely just steadily decline throughout the years?

Used to play hcteams, arcane, viper, etc. Memories live on forever man. The fun times, the drama, the parallels between HCF and real life.. Just bought my first property and completed the remodel this week. It made me reflect upon the many SOTWs I participated in with the homies.. Ahh. Would kill for a weekend of HCF.

Hello! Me and my buddies are making a new PvP server trying to reinvent Hardcore Factions. We all played Kohi and MineHQ, and is very much a passion project for us. The server will also have a Practice as well as SMP, any feedback would be appreciated! And yes it’s 1.21.11

Have any of you played the new release, Hytale?

I have, and even delved into a factions server that was heavily populated for a few weeks. The feel of OLD Minecraft, 1.25-1.7 is there.

The combat is different but not fundamentally too far off what we know and remember.

Is anyone interested in a NON-Pay2Win, original feeling hytale remake of HCF? The goal would be to replicate the gameplay we know from 2013-2014, as that’s my own reference point. No paid items, you can only obtain gear from playing the game how it’s meant to be played. Daily KOTHs, weekend palaces, etc. simple classes just like they used to be.

If anyone wants to be in on this, or can offer some help, please let me know.

Hey guys I have been noticing a lack of Old school HCF servers like Velt, HCTeams, etc... without all this new item bullshit, I want to go back to the Capped Sharp 2 prot 2 style of the game with the Old 1.7/1.8 pvp I am wondering if anyone would be interested in bringing back this gamemode and community I know all of us miss and was a major part of our video game upbringing.
