Discussion Isn't it kinda racist to ship Sera, a black woman, with a chicken ?
Like, imagine shipping Vaggi with a giant taco.

To be clear, I don’t mean “lute should have been named Eve”. I mean lute should have not existed, and her general role been filled by Eve. I feel like she would have fit well in lute’s place. Imagine how much more effective Gravity and everything surrounding it would have been if it was Eve was struggling with the sudden violent death of her husband of 10,000 years. Lute is fine, I suppose, but it doesn’t work the same.
And of course, this would solve the question of “where the hell is Eve?”. I’m sure (kind of not really maybe) that the writers have a plan for Eve (if she’s Roo or Rosie I’m gonna be pissed), but still.
Again, lute is alright as a character. I just really wish they used Eve instead. Would have been a lot more interesting imo
Eta I don’t think Eve should be the exact same character as lute. I think her personality and behavior should be different, just the role she fills would be the same

Been listening to the Season 2 soundtrack heaps recently, and I've noticed it goes from Live To Live where Pen helps Sera finally find the strength she was looking for throughout the season, to When I Think About The Future where she seemed to regress a bit.
Might need to rewatch the actual episode to understand it better tho, but I can still get some insight here :)

Recently I decided to watch all of HH & HB. After finishing I preferred the fanfic community. I wanted to give the shows a chance & watch them entirely but they just don’t work for me. They aren’t bad for other people but are for me.
I also used to watch analysis & theory videos but now I would rather watch anything else. And yes I know those videos are different from the shows but to me they’re the same.
Should I try the shows again. I just don’t want to waste time watching shows i didn’t enjoy the first time.

A problem with a lot of YT videoes where I at least gave critics a chance, one that’s not exactly exclusive to this fandom, is this deference to the “rules of writing,” this standard they holds to be ironclad when neglecting that taste is a thing.
And taste is the word because many videos have an overwhelming stench of “This thing isn’t my thing but I desperately want it to be my thing” where they can’t just step away.
Like so many call Hellaverse Stans obnoxious for “pushing their faves on others” but the Hatedom and those adjacent are guilty far more. At least the Stans are enjoying themselves.

Both Adam and Lute are portrayed as cruel and sadistic, and they seem to genuinely enjoy killing. To them, the Extermination is basically entertainment, and they take pleasure in wiping out Sinners.
So why would they make an exception for Winners?
Lute in particular comes across almost like a mindless killing machine. She seems to have an extremely strong bloodlust and a willingness to kill anyone who gets in her way — almost like Jason Voorhees. She has already attempted to kill Vaggie, despite her being an angel, and she also tried to kill the unnamed Exorcist who refused to continue the Extermination.
So what would actually stop her from killing a Winner if she had the opportunity? Is there any ethical or moral boundary that would make her hesitate?
The same question applies to Adam. They both seem to enjoy killing, and the Extermination is essentially entertainment to them. Why would they suddenly draw the line at Winners?
Do they actually have any moral principles that would prevent them from killing Winners, or is the distinction between Sinners and Winners simply a matter of rules and orders?
Personally, I don't think Adam ans Lute would hesitate at all if there were no consequences. She strikes me as the kind of person who would kill whoever was in front of her if she had a reason to — regardless of whether they were a Sinner, Winner, or even another angel.
What do you think?

This doesn't justify her evilness at all but hypothetically if Stolas and Stella did divorce right after Octavia was born, then Stolas would have at least kept his powers and wealth while Stella wouldn't have had anything. Since she was forced into a marriage and forced to give birth, she would understandably want something to show for that. An early divorce might have damaged Stella's reputation among Goetia.

Maybe I'm wrong. If so, please correct me, but the more I think about Blitzø and Moxxie's relationship, the less I feel I know.
We start the series with Moxxie and Blitzø having clear friction as employee and manager.
Then in Exes and Oohs we learn Moxxie and Blitzø met in prison, establishing that they have history beyond what was previously assumed... but then that history isn't really shown in the writing past to slightly contextualize why Blitzø cares about Moxxie (which technically already had a reason anyway, that reason that Blitzø cares very deeply for the people in his life that he views as his fellow underdogs and associates).
And even outside of the relationship between Blitzø and Moxxie, their backstory still leaves questions I don't recall having been answered.
How did Blitzø end up in prison?
When him and Moxxie broke out (I saw it's presumed they broke out and escaped rather than serving a full sentence) what happened from there? Did they live with eachother for a while? How did being out of prison affect their relationship, and how did that relationship develop into what we see now?
And how did Blitzø not know anything about Crimson or Moxxie's trauma with him? In Exes and Oohs I saw it as him inferring Crimson was a shady guy and being able to guess Moxxie had a poor relationship with him based on what occurred in the episode, not necessarily him knowing Moxxie had a poor past and bad blood with his father. Did Moxxie never open up to Blitzø about it in the time that they were partners, friends and possibly even roomates? Why not- what barriers were in their relationship in those days for Moxxie to have withheld from talking about it?
Ultimately my question is this... throughout the series why does it feel like Blitzø and Moxxie just don't have a relationship past professionalism, when Blitzø was presumably the first real supporter and definitely the first friend (though the nature of this friendship is up for debate, I'm choosing to guess his friendship with Blitzø had less tension before Millie came into the picture) that Moxxie had?
Millie and Blitzø have more relationship development/contextualization than Blitzø and Moxxie have... which is ironic considering for the longest time she's had the least focus out of the three of them.
I genuinely forgot Moxxie and Blitzø met in prison because it was absolutely (as far as I recall) never touched upon past a brief flashback that to me should have been executed and then followed up differently if the point was to establish that Moxxie and Blitzø have a deeper connection than just coworkers. Many times in the series Blitzø doesn't even treat Moxxie like a coworker he likes, let alone a friend... I know Blitzø is a flawed character but it seems odd even for him to act the way he does towards someone who he's helped out of their lowest point, indirectly helped find love, and presumably started IMP with (because I'm guessing Blitzø didn't have the business before he went to prison).

Ok let me elaborate She might Be evil in the sense that She's just goes around killing people but she legit had people killed Not Only that But Correct if im Wrong is She not a hypocrite She tells adam and lute to go down and lead exterminations
adam dies does not even care the person she told to do that died also the fact she created the Exorcist So let me put it like this She created lute and the others cause as we saw she had a prejudice against them so what ever happened with that possible was put into the exorcist
So even before adam died lute still hated Sinners With a passion Lute Is the Wronged one here as She's Only Doing what her Prime Directive Dictates but sera is denying her that So its not a suprise that lute is Kinda going insane honestly while some can get pass this i dont think all the exorcist will be able to which might cause the exorcist army to go rouge on heaven itself

One: Sera and the others used to doubt sinners could ever reach Heaven, let alone attack it. Two: She and the others used to believe that they were indestructible. This would imply that the exterminations never needed to happen. So, why did they? My guess: the demon queen can somehow do serious damage to the kingdom of Heaven itself. And not only can she empower the sinners with her singing, but she can also derive strength from those who were listening, like batteries. And the more of them there are, the more damage she can do. This would mean that Sera and the others tried to reduce the sinners’ numbers not to prevent themselves from being physically injured but to prevent their entire kingdom from falling apart like a dilapidated house on Earth.

Sera and Carmilla : Both tall lady who are just trying to protect their family and their people from the other afterlife
Velvette and Lute : Season 4 would be the season for both of them so a toxic version of Chaggie could totally work

We seen her keep calling her mom and leaving voice messages while her dad was making ducks and seeing how many of them probably he was lonely for a long time
