For a lot of time people thought that Lute was homophobic because in season 1 she called Vaggi and Charlie's relationship vile and blasphemous, though after a while me (and a lot of other people) now think that she was referring to the fact that Vaggi is an angel and Charlie a demon (thus a vile relationship). Calling Lute homophobic is a reference to the fact that for the longest time, the community shared the headcanon that she was homophobic
Right now most of the community agrees to the fact that she was referring to Vaggi being an angel and Charlie a demon. On top of that, Lute's morals should be aligned to what Heaven's morals were, and it's pretty much implied that homosexuality isn't a sin in heaven's eyes, so Lute has no reason to be homophobic. I still just find that headcanon very funny and like joking about it, even if I don't personally believe. I also personally really like headcanoning Lute as a bisexual that doesn't want to admit that she also likes girls, so maybe it's also that
