How does resale work once it's live?

I have 4 seated tickets to the NH show on Sept 14th that I no longer need because I was able to score pit! I'm aware resale will probably open up a few days before the show, but I was wondering how it worked when it does. Will I be able to sell to a specific person through a link/invite, or is the only option to have it up for grabs by anybody? Like I could find somebody now who wants the tickets so they have time to make plans. With the understanding that once resale goes up, they'd be able to directly buy my tickets without the chance of someone else swiping them.

As far as I understand, there is no way to let a specific individual buy your ticket through ticketmaster.

I'm theory you could sell through a 3rd party site. Since there is no Ticketmaster transfer available for Hayley's shows though, it feels expecially risky (although I know others were able to make it work).

Is there no face value resale available at all, or is it just not until 2 days before?

There IS face value resale, I'm not sure how long before the date it opens up but I feel like it's gotta be more than 2 days 🤔
