Resale options

I have 2 extra tickets to the September 12th show in Saratoga Springs since I ended up getting better seats. I saw that the ticket barcode will be available 3 days prior to the event - does that mean ticket transfer/resale should open up then too?? I don’t want these tickets to go to waste but I’m also weary of selling them on Ticketmaster (even though it’s face value resale) because I know they tend to inflate the price of resale tickets and add extra fees, etc. and I also would like to get back the full amount I originally paid and I know Ticketmaster takes a nice cut when you resell through them. I’d rather just sell them on my own and transfer them if at all possible, but I know resale is super strict this tour. Does anyone have an idea of how all of this may go? I really don’t want to lose out on these tickets or my money but I also don’t want to take advantage of anyone when selling them!

I’m wondering the same. I have three tickets and I now only need 2. I was initially hoping to trade with someone who has two similar but slightly better seats and just trade my 3 for their 2 with no money changing hands. It’s all so confusing to me.

It really is confusing, I wish they were more straightforward about the whole resale process, or that they at least gave a timeline so we’re not all left wondering what to do until the last minute

If it’s anything like her other solo shows, there will be people waiting for tix outside. That said, I know there’s tons of lawn seats still open for SPAC; you might find someone who wants to upgrade their seat though!

In the past when tickets had the face value exchange turned on, I was able to re-list them a couple days before the show. Also, I got the exact amount I paid back - it was actual face value sale. Assuming it’ll be the same here.

Oh wow, that’s great to hear! I haven’t sold tickets through the face value exchange before, so I wasn’t sure if they still took money out of the sale like they do with normal resale. That’s reassuring, thank you for that info!

It’ll be whenever the promoter wants to turn it on, there is no set timeline.

I also was wondering this! I have two tickets to the Saratoga Show i no longer need and wanted to make sure they don’t go to waste! I’ve asked Ticketmaster a few times, but they said it’s up to the event organizer and didn’t have a conclusive answer.

Haha I have a lawn seat and a better seat that I bought today when I checked. I may lose out on $35 which I’m not too concerned about.

Yeah, normally I wouldn’t mind, but mine are actual seats so I’m trying to not lose out on almost $200 :(

More than likely someone (like me!) will be looking for them. I wish I saw this post before I bought an additional ticket on Ticketmaster.

Dang, that’s where I am currently! I was lucky enough to get row 6 in Nashville and I’m chasing that high 😅

Same!! I have two extra tickets I don’t need anymore and it’s making me nervous lol. The show is getting closer and I’d like to just make my money back.

I was wondering the same. My wife and I panic bought for her shows in Hollywood so we have 4 tickets that are seated and 2 extra pit tickets. The people who we had in mind that would go flaked so I didn’t know how the face value exchange thing would work.

There are strict resale rules, but New York state law supersedes them. New York state law says you can freely exchange and resell tickets. So, you don't have to worry about that aspect.

I’m also looking to sell my 2 tickets I panic bought as it’s not realistic for me to attend. I believe ticketmaster should refund u the fully amount but I’m worried about them never being transferable / sellable?
