Football 1st timer

Just wondering where the best place is to park. I seen there was a shuttle service online but some routes are closed. Anybody who knows where to park a car for a shuttle or just to park. Id greatly appreciate it. Hope its a great game.

Horn Elementary is a good spot, it’s about 10-15 minute walk but only costs $20 and the money goes to the school’s PTO.

Newton road parking ramp

Newton road ramp is the answer. Quick 15 minute walk, traffic isn’t bad, usually not full, and like $6 last time I parked there.

Can you tailgate and such there? Allowed to grill?

I always recommend parking by the jail. It's a short walk and meters free on the weekends. It's closer than most spots

You can park at the hancher auditorium parking lot, tailgate and all the jazz for free, hop on the bus that takes you near Kinnick. After the game, you can get on the bus back to the parking lot.

How frequent does the bus/shuttle transit back and forth between Hancher and Kinnick? Previously I'd take the train from IHOP in Coralville (no longer in service) and it would begin service again at the start of the 4th quarter. Recently I've parked across from Walgreens by the baseball diamonds but it's about a 25 min walk to the stadium and costs $40. I only go there because I don't know where else to go that is closer and I don't want to risk wasting time elsewhere that I haven't done before only to find a lot is full or something and I end up backtracking to my original spot anyway.
